Official Canucks VS Blackhawks Trash Talk Thread...

All of the Hawks big players have played large minutes for about a month now and appear to be tired. They had a short summer and were hammered for most of it while partying with the cup.

As much as I would love to see the Hawks win this series I believe the Canucks will be to much for them and win this series in 6 games.

It's going to be great fun when the Canucks fans realize (midway through game 2) that the 'Hawks are no joke, and once again a great regular season by the 'Nucks is for not as Vancouver folds yet again - and loses in the first round.  The Canucks simply don't have the mettle to go far in the playoffs.  When your two best players are finesse Swedes (and yes, I've watched more than enough games to label the Sedin sisters as finesse Swedes) you ain't winning it all.

Sorry 'nucks fans.  Maybe your kids will see the Canucks host Lord Stanley's mug.  Because you won't...

As a die hard hawks fan I definitely give the Nucks the edge in this series. Hawks lost a lot due to the salary cap. That being said, hawks have no pressure what so ever here. They are not expected to win this series. All you Nucks fans better hope you win both at home because if the hawks steal game 1 the entire weight of the world will be on your shoulders in game 2. This will not be a cake walk for Vancouver. Hawks will not roll over I can assure you that. They were given a second chance last night by the Wild and fully expect them to take advantage of it. The season series was split 2-2 and Crawford only played in one of those (hawks win 7-1). Buckle up the seatbelts folks I think this one goes 7 games. Best of luck to all

Couldn't agree more Flutie. I'm a Hawks fan obviously and know they aren't the same team as last year but it seems like most have already conceeded that the series is already over before one game has been played. Hawks are still the champs until proven otherwise and you can't underestimate the heart of a champion. FYI, Brower is expected to be back, possibly wed night. This has all the makings of a 7 game series in my book. Let the best team win.

Who else besides me and one other guy expect that? No one.. Everyone and their mother EXPECTS A HARD FOUGHT 6-7 GAME SERIES.. You got it backwards.. Also, I said that it COULD be a 6-7 game series, but I went out on a limb and said Canucks do it in 4 or 5 games.. See this kind of thing loses you credibility in the long run.. And you've lost it a long time ago to me.. Everyone on the forum is expecting a tough matchup for the Canucks.. I'm one of the few that actually believe they will handle this Chicago team this year.. You also talk about losing key players - and you name off about 6 + Big Buff.. Umm ya that is going to affect them big time.. They will have to find another way to get to Luongo.. You also talk about doubt and it creeping down the lineup.. I do not doubt that it happened last year with Luongo being the Captain and all.. Well guess what he gave up his captaincy at the start of the year.. That shows big change and humility on his part.. I was not a believer in Loo at the start of the season (as most fans were) and I have changed my opinion over the course of this year slowly.. I think Schneids is as good as Loo but Loo has shown great improvement and shown to be a team player (letting Schneider take 25 games and not saying a word).. Thats a huge improvement in my eyes and he has proven to me - with play and personality - that he's ready for this.. Just watch.. Nuff said..

Completely agree with a short leash on Luongo, since I believe Schnieds is the best backup in the league and Luongo seems to questionable at best when the spotlight is on.

I agree about the short leash thing and about Schneider - I love his style and play.. I DID agree with these points at the start of the year but how can you argue against his numbers and his play of late?? That has me questioning you.. I know of the past and bla bla bla but it just builds you as a person.. Don't kid yourself Loo is ready for this and he wants this.. He likes competition.. Nobody expects a sweep expect me and a few others.. Everyone expecting a long hard fought series.. Tho it may be hard fought I don't believe it will go 7 but hey anything can happen..

The Nucks bottom two lines are not as scary without those two.

I would personally take the stars on the Hawks over the stars on the Nucks. Kesler can make or break things. Higgins, Tambellini, Raymond don't strike too much fear but I don't see a large advantage over Bickell, Frolik and Stalberg. The defense is about the same but I give the goaltending edge to the Nucks. ..

What's the price for over 5.5 games?

can't argue with you there. It was a huge loss, prob bigger than  they realized after the fact. No question the Nucks SHOULD win this series. I'm just saying the Hawks will not go down without a fight and wouldn't be at all surprised if it went 7 games. Can you imagine the pressure on Vancouver if it came down to a 7th game? Hawks have been there and would be already playing with house money by then. As for Bulls, hope they do pull this out. They have come a long way this season with Rose really stepping up his game bigtime and Tibbs, who should win coach of the year. The only thing I fear is a lack of playoff experience that might hurt them against tested teams but no doubt Rose is fearless and they are a very deep team, a trademark of the championship teams back in the Jordan era. Time will tell. GL with your wagers 

the last 2 years the Hawks have scored 46 playoff goals against the canucks.  14 of them have been by a player who is no longer with the Hawks.  32 goals by members of the current team

the canucks have scored 37 goals against the Hawks in those 2 series'.

Clepto the last 2 years the egg on your face has been really something to cherish.   If the nucks don't beat the Hawks this year I'll really enjoy it that much more
