Gotta go to work, but when I get back I hope to see some narly replies. I think POSSIBLY the Flyers don't have a chance in this series now that I think about it. The NHL poster boys Crosby and Malkin move on because the NHL needs them to. I am on Philly here but I've seen a lot of no looks by the refs when the Pens should have gotten penalties. And the Flyers are perceived to be dirty anyway so it's easy to call penalties against them. I dunno, it may go 7, but calls are going Pens way for a reason. My pool pick is fucked because of this.

lol.........I am taking flyers .........dirty play and all..........but have to agree with you that nhl poster boys will make it to round two.

For every no look by the ref against Philly I could find one for Philly but the difference is there is only one fan base that whines better than the rest.

If you haven't heard, The Flyers are allowed to throw sticks at the puck and also continously punch opponents in the face after the whistle...The last game was dead even on penalties against both teams...Philly is a physical team, they harp on hitting and because of this you create more penalties, it's not rocket surgery

I think my Pennies are in REAL TROUBLE. IF they can't stop that cross crease pass Flower is going to continue to get hung out to dry. last game the D was definately MIA AND their back to the "perimeter box power play" from past years which is WHY they are NOT scoring.
 
hate to say it BUT I think this series gets evened up tonight

its tough to even watch some of these games, its true that the flyers have been taking some terrible penalties, but the lopsided officiating has to settle down a little bit.  gary bettman needs to take malkin and crosby's dicks out of his mouth,they get the most drawn out calls i've ever seen, its just pathetic that a team that talented needs help from the league to make it out of the second round. crosby is a fucking disgrace, he just cries, hes like every other piece of shit from western pennsylvania, all hicks and metal workers. flyers even the game up tonight, and will grab game 5 in shittsburgh too, the better team always wins, and the pens team is such a downgrade from last year losing hossa and malone, GOOOOOOO FLYERS!!! FUUUUUCK PITTSBURGH!!!!

Reading posts from Flyers and Pen fans are priceless .  I get why but they are just so biased.
 
NHL doesn't care whether it's Pitts or Philly who advances. God forbid the NHL "allows" Philly to advance and only has a hole slew of stars to promote to the public...Richards, Carter, Briere, etc.
 
I do agree guys like Crosby, Malkin (elite stars of the league) to get an extra call here or there, but this is nothing new, suck it up, they are the stars of the league and need, yes need, extra protection as every night they have a target on their backs.
 
With that said, I still say Pitt advances (just spoke with Betman)

bracks--"rocket surgery" is pitting both clitches together..(Rocket Science) and (Brain Surgery)...It's just a more sarcastic way to get the point across....
 
We will see who is the better team tonight...I think Pittsburgh just lacked the focus that won them the first 2 games.  They had something like 12 penalties combined the first 2 games and according to the covers website, picked up 11 in game 3..So it is clearly obvious that Philly got the Pens into playing their game and fighting after every whistle..That is not the way Pittsburgh is going to win the series...If they get back to using their superior speed, they will be moving on and all the Flyer fans can blame the NHL once again for not being good enough

dude you are a moron. there is no lopsided officiating, just one dumbass team who constantly takes stupid penalties. flyers took a ton of penalties in game 1 which costs them and then the two dumb ones at the end of game 2.  somehow in game 3 when the penalties were pretty much even, the flyers won.  tell your hothead buddy hartnell to stop being a douche every shift and slashing someone.  as far your comments on pittsburghers, you have kept alive the sterotype alive of philly fans having no class.

mike richards was called for a slash on evgeni malkin that even the biased nbc announcers laughed at, when a commentator calls a penalty "pathetic" on air, something must be wrong with it, claude giroux had a break away in game 2, he was dragged down by the shoulder and there was no call, 10 seconds later in netural ice he was called for a trip on stall which again was noted by the announcer as a "horrible call" by the refs, it has nothing to do with the commisioner not wanting philly to advance, its him needing pittsburgh to advance, when crosby is the face of the nhl and reebok and every male dildo company, hes needed to advance, him missing the secound round is the same as lebron or kobe not making it in the nba, the ratings would tank

Just like last year the Pens get rid of philthadelphia.  They go up 3-1 tonight behind a good game from Fleury, then i get to go see the pens eliminate the flyers Thursday night.  can't wait

Announcers laughed when Staal was called for holding when he took a stick in the face, they laughed when Hartnell did not get an instigator penalty for chasing Kuntitz around the ice, they laughed when Malkin was called for holding when Timonen held his stick  ......

Who whines?  Who Cries?   How many Penguin fans start the whiny ass threads after each loss?   Philthy fans start before the game with their "we all know the NHL wants the Pens to win excuses " so they can cry if they lose and have the nerve to call Sid a whiner.

I consider myself one of the most unbiased philly fans out there. I even get shit from my friends for giving crosby and the pens credit, but lets be honest, this series has been a joke. Yes the flyers have been undisciplined but the calls go far beyond that. if I see box jordan staal take another dive or grab his face again looking for a high stick, i think i'll throw up.

flyers win this one 3-2. i'm laying 5 units on the flyers ML, and another 5 units on how many times crosby's box bleeds at OVER 2.5 times.

I was at the game sunday i did not see much

But i did see alot of

And alot of Trash talking

We dont fight unless we are losing. Hahaha. Section 208 was clam for the most part only 3 Pens fans. But they where good people. And i must say i dont like Pens Fans sitting in our section. I hope Tonight is calm as well, Taking the Old Lady with me. She will keeep me in line.

i like to think there are some unbiased philly fans out there.  personally from experience though it seems most of their fans think the world is out to get them.  i was at the bar friday after the pens went up 2-0 and this flyer fan is going crazy and saying that they will get us next year.  i said to him that the series is nowhere near over and look what is happening. just because your team loses does not mean the refs are out to get you. pens were better in game 1 and better in the 3rd period and overtime in game 2.  flyers were the MUCH better team in game 3. there is a reason its a best of 7. may be the best team win
