I agree bro, very true especially in hockey compared to any other sport. Core of the hawks nucleus will be back next year, they will lose a couple role players but the farm system is well stocked so I fully expect them to be right there again next season, not saying they will repeat but should be odds on favorite 
yes they do bud, but the core will be back, Hosa, Kane, Toews, Keith, Sharp all signed. They could very well lose Buff and Veersteeg but the minor system is loaded with talent.

This group of hawks players are among the classiest that I've ever met. They are very fan friendly and enjoying the fact that many in this city didn't even go to sleep. the Capitals, Flyers, or Red Wings will make a "cap buster" deal for Jaroslav Halak OR try to pry Tomas Vokoun out of Florida. all three are only a goalie away from a Cup winning team. 
wherever Halak ends up, he will get a 5 million + multi-year deal 
my Penguins will switch Malkin to wing on Crosby's line and unload UFA's Guerin, Fedotenko and Ponikarovsky. they will try to move Kunitz BUT @ 4 million it will be a tough sell. a bunch of the "Baby Pens" kids, esp Letestu (C-F), Lovejoy (D), and Engelland (D) will start off next season in Pittsburgh. they will try to get BIGGER both on wing AND esp on defense. they will NOT overpay to try and retain Gonchar. at 35 years old, he's NOT worth his current 5.5 million. he looked really "long in the tooth" against the Canadiens.
EVERY team will look for a Dustin Byfuglien. he's the new "prototype" power forward.
Patrick Kane will get in some kind of legal trouble this summer. he's an immature arrogant little punk.

I agree with alot of what you say. But I still think Varmalov is a good goalie for the Caps. The Caps problem is defense. If they go out a Chris Pronger type defenseman they will contend for a cup. Mike Green should get moved to wing cause he is not an NHL defenseman.
