The league is negotiating with jamison as he's 30 million short of the 170 the league is asking for.  The NHL(leafs) will give the coyotes financial concessions to help jamison close the deal and make team payroll.  These are the same financial concessions the league made with Winnipeg and in the future, the Quebec Nordiques (tongue went thru cheek)

So in the end Burrows got 4.5 per

Doaner gets 5.3 per

Cheap deals for each club, the question now is who is the one piece Van goes after now?

Was hoping it was Doan especially at that price, whats plan B now?

Looks like Nucks were waitin for Doan and plan B was to sign Burrows long term.. Too bad we couldn't get Doaner but next best thing was to sign Burr.. Not a total loss for Van.

Wow, shocked he stayed.  Thought he would go to Philly. My dream was for him and Iginla to go somewhere and win a cup.

Any news on the sale of the Coyotes?  I thought the sale was going through months ago.  Exactly how long does it take to push through the fake sale of an unwanted dead and buried welfare hockey team..eh gary??

Well now that the owners have "cost certainty" taken care of, they now know how much cash they will have to give greg jamison to buy the Coyotes.  The extra 200 million the owners stole from the players in the new CBA will be doled out to apprx 10 teams.  One of them will be Phoenix.  So jamison and the other 76 investors borrowed 150 million and given 20 million from gary = 170 million.  The official announcement of the purchase will be sometime this month.
