but what really sucks is that it doesn't matter how hard, skilled and passionately the AVS play this first round...if they were to win they still wont get any respect it will be "the sharks choked again" not "WOW! what an amazing bunch of kids"

Hey Av's... Good Luck Tonight. Your Boyz will need it, or maybe not...

Some might say that COL overachieved however if they continue next season right where they left off, then those people would be changing thier tune to "COL did an excellent job of quickly rebuilding and it is showing immediate results."

Just keep rooting for your Av's cause they are YOUR team no matter what.

They made me alot of money in the first half of the season especially early on when the books kept listing them as nice road dogs and they kept winning. Good Job This Season

Since we are friends, I regret to inform you that I feel SJ will win this in no more than 5 games, but you never know until they play the games.

In yrs past I had rooted for SJ since I have resided in the Bay Area for the L-16 yrs however they are just another team to me now... I never had an emotional attachment to them are tired quickly of how they always fell flat on thier faces in the playoffs, as do my Philly Eagles who always choke in the playoffs as well. Sometimes it's better to just be an average team with low expectations and do well.... just like... it's sweeter to win a small dog play then a play on a fav that made you nervous all game long.

Ya guys I'm not delirous I am a huge fan as you all know by my name but I would guess that the sharks get it done in 5 as well anything more then that will make my week. The sharks are a strong team and its been easy to see them as being a stanley cup team all year. That being said I cant think of a better matchup for the AVS heading into the first round we have played well against them all year and I think we match up better against them then say the sharks or LA

These Av's are a much different kind of team than the one's that knocked the Sharks out in previous yrs. Also, the Av's have been on a slide and if not for Calgary shitting away opportunities they would have easily passed the Av's. The Kings and Av's were two of the coldest teams coming into these playoffs but LA has a better team and more veterans.

What noone realizes is that the AVS are playing the same way they have all year.

 Ya they were badly outshot but this team is ranked 29th in the regular season for shots per game but 13th in wins.

 They played great defence and their Goalie was amazing then they got a lucky bounce.

There is probably one lucky bounce in 90% off all the games this year. Anyway if you still refuse to put money on the AVS at +$$ on home ice be my guest you are probably the same person that was on Detroit on all three games too.

I've been trying to think of another team that can be compared to the Sharks as far as how they always seem to have the high expectations and piss poor success in the playoffs... Still thinking...

Maybe the Flyers with Lindros and the legion of doom... always failed in the end as well but did make one cup final and a few conference finals. Just like my Eagles..

Anderson was the only reason you guys surivved that onslaught you should be countign your lucky stars, although PJ Stock was right about Joe he is way to tentative.
