New York Islanders vs Carolina Hurricanes
I like the Hurricanes this year. They built a pretty solid team defensively and that is the key of their success. Yesterday both teams had games and won so back to back for them.
I am taking the Hurricanes here. The team is pretty good and I expect them fighting in the postseason while I have doubts about the Islanders. The best thing in Carolina is their defense while the Islanders struggles at that. Both teams can score goals so I think the big difference is how reliable they are in their back.
Both teams arrive here in a good streak but I think Carolina is one step ahead from the Islanders. One of their biggest problems in recent years was their goalie and for that, they signed Darling. He posted a great performance yesterday but I dont know if he will play today. If we talk about goalies, we can say that the Islanders are having troubles at that this season because Greiss and Halak have been full of doubts. Yesterday Darling and Greiss, we will see today but I expect Darling and Halak.
Carolina improved a lot this offseason signing people like Van Riemsdyk while people like Justin Williams, Skinner, Staal, Aho ... stayed with the team. I like this Carolina team and I expect them taking the W here.
