The Verdict is in ..

Need help on last nights Team Total w/ Carolina -3.5. Figure I asked this forum. I had them -3.5 on the team total over. Since they won in OT and scored their 4 goal, I assume it's a winner ? What happens if they go into a shootout and Carolina wins the shoot out they score the game 4-3 correct. Would that count as a win? I bet a couple of NHL games here and there. Thanks ahead of time.

Each book grades this differently. I know some books do not count OT goals toward tt's and some books do. Sorry for the vague answer but it really is according to your book.

 I had the bet taken in the Rivers Casino. On the ticket it does state " Includes Overtime & Shoot Out " But does it apply to team total> Even when I think I have a winning ticket I have to sweat it out 

I don't know of any book that would consider the shootout win to be an additional goal.  It would be graded as a win for Carolina, but they would have only scored 3 goals.

In this case, your bet is a winner. For betting purposes at your sportsbook in this case the winner in OT or in the shootout gets awarded one goal.

 Wasn't a shootout. 4th goal scored in OT! I was hoping for someone to have made the same bet here.

For those of you who don't understand my previous post.  The first post in this threead is asking a question about a hypothetical situation.  I was answering that question.

My local book does include  OT in team totals, however I've  noticed that Draftkings and fanduel EXCLUDE OT for TT goals
