Vegas should be favorites to get to the cup. The only problem is they have the Habs in there way. Just ask the Leafs and Jets not always the best team wins the series. This Habs team has four well balanced lines. They have good dee and then you get to the goalie and its Price. To beat the Habs you have to score more than 3 goals a game. If Price only allows 2 goals or less in a game in the playoffs his record is unbeatable. Price is just playing lights out right now. I would not bet against him right now.

I think folks are over rating Montreal due to their recent playoff performance. They played a schedule of Canadian Teams. Vegas has been through the gauntlet against better competition. Price is legit, but so was Grubauer...Vegas is going to go blitzkrieg on the Canadians from the get go...especially on home ice, and especially in game 1. I agree with the pundits who say this series will go six games, but in the end, I think Vegas will win game 1, and the series. I will be on Vegas -1.5 PL...in game 1...GLTA!
I'm a Vegas homer as well, but do not believe they will be gifted the Cup. They have thus far, and will continue to earn the Cup, if they are able to take care of the teams in front of them. That being said, I am concerned in Game 1 due to the possibility of a "let down" game. Defeating the favored Av's in that spot at home could lead to a dull start to tomorrow's game vs the Habs. I hope not, because like I say, I am a fan, but I will not be surprised with a slow start.
Grubauer was also the hot goalie coming into the VGK series, and we saw how that turned out. Not underestimating the Habs, but do believe that Price will be had by the end of the series.

Varlomov, I know the spelling is off, to Marty. But the system is very similar to those devil teams. Nothing fancy. Trotz has them disciplined but Tampa will push them to the limit. Eight seconds in and the Islanders at this point said ya we're not going down that easy. I think any four can do it. As usual in the NHL as well as all major sports the team with the most health will hold the trophy in the end. None of the four will run and hide.
