OK the Penguins beat the Oilers 2-0 their last @ Edmonton, BIG DEAL. have lost 6 of their previous 8 games with 3 of 4 and 8 of last 10 roads lost. Fluery with a shutout @ Edmonton also "woop-de-do". had lost 5 of his previous 6 starts allowing 4 GA's or more in 4 of those games
"CC's" have won their last 3 and 4 of last 5 home games and are 8-2 their last 10 games overall. Hiller wins his last 3 and 4 of last 5 home starts. has allowed just 2 GA's or less in 8 of his last 9 games played. he has been getting good "goal support" with his team scoring at least 3 GF's in 4 of his last 5 and 4 GF's or more in 3 of those.
"Roach's Run" in Calgary tonight. @ Flames +110 and @ Flames OVER 5 1/2 +125

I can see why there is so much Pitt love tonight. They have won all of their road games against Western Conference opponents. Meanwhile Calgary has only beaten the weaker teams from the Eastern Conference at home (CAR, NJD, OTT, BUF). Plus their only home victory against an Eastern team this calendar year was BUF.
Then couple that with the fact that Pittsburgh has played quite well in Western Canada the last several years, and one stars to see why there is so much love for them tonight.
I can see why, not saying I agree with it, but I can see why.
Anyways...BEST OF LUCK to you tonight!!

I want to pound St.Louis, but they are on B2B and have Chicago on deck.... should I proceed with caution?
that is just purely a bet AGAINST Mac and the BJ's who can't get out of their own way lately. besides, the Blues 4-2 on B2B this season after a win. Elliott has won his last 5 starts and 8 of last 9. unless the Blues screw off on offense they should cover the puckline. BJ's scoring pretty flat lately.

RR, I would venture some of your reasons to
ride Calgary are actually reasons to fade Calgary....my point....point
#1...'CC's recent winning string' = they have won 4 straight games ONLY twice
all season (tonight would be their attempt at 4)..and their 4th straight win
both times were against Edmonton, and Colorado (Av's back on 12/4 when they
were playing horribly).... point #2 their home winning streak... they
currently are on a 3 game winning streak @ home. They have won 4 straight
at home just once all season, and that 4th win was back on November 18th.....
#3..GA Ave..... yep, their L5 games, they have allowed only 1.4 GAA, which is
great, but considering the competition level in the L5, it is not quite as
impressive,,, Buffalo, Edmonton Winnipeg (and comon, you have to admit the Peg
is playing like a bottom feeder lately) Minnesota (much improved D, but
averaging only 2 GG in L15 games)...and SJS, which is, in my opinion, the ONLY
game worth considering... now let's go further back, to games 11 thru 15 ago
(Jan 9 thru Dec 29), they played 2 middle of the road teams, 2 playoff teams,
and 1 bottom feeder (LA, EDM, NYI, DET, FLA)... they gave up GAA 3, and GF
2.8... their PP was 9.52%, their PK was 70.0%, SF% was 49.6, and won only 2 of
those games (LA/EDM)... now, they tear it up vs the Western Conference, and get
torn up vs the EAST, especially the Atlantic Division....in the last 3
months (back to Nov. 6th, they are 3-8 vs the EAST, and 2-5 vs the
Atlantic (one of those 2 wins were vs the Sabres incidentally)… Now Pitt (short)…
over the last 1 month +, there have been few times that Malkin & Hornqvist
have both been playing, and healthy.. those are two huge factors on the top two
lines.. tonight you have this…….Other than the fact that that public are all
over them, I am having a heluva time finding a logical reason against the play…
anything can happen in any game, no doubt, but the percentage chances are
heavily on the side of the Pens…. BOL 2 U Sir

I think EITHER of those 2 could win by 2 or more depending on how Fluery and Hiller go tonight. even though Fleury DID have a shutout @ Edmonton his last, I think that Hiller has been the more consistent goalie lately and getting better "goal support"
