taking the lions as its at the gabba if it was at the MCG or at a neutral venue then id stay away as both are evenly matched talent wise..lions now have bradshaw who missed all of last year and johnstone from the last meeting...bradshaw n brown look like they might trouble magies defenders..inexperienced brown named to matcup on one of them. Last meeting brissy won 149-56 at the MCG..time before that magies 120-87 at the gabba it was a 4 pt, 7 pt 9 pt ball game till 3 qtr time so lions coulda won with a bit of luck. meeting before that at the gabba 133-55.

Lions as well.
 
Complete mismatch in the forwards for the Lions. Expecting the Lions midfield to tear bits of the Pies. Charman to win it in the middle. Merrett should match up quite well on Rocca.

The line is -6.5 to the lions.

Ecoute I agree, the pies need Rocca to fire but Rocca has only scored 1 goal in the 2 times Merret has played on him.

The lions have their best forward line in for, well I think 3 years, Bradshaw, Brown and Brennan. As good as Brown is, I think Brennan will tear the pies up tonight.

Nathan Brown will be forced to play on J. Brown which is a total mismatch, the best in the league versus a 19 year old who's played 1 (very good) game. Wakelin/Bradshaw should be a good contest. Which leaves Brennan with any of the 3 oppenents he clearly beaten previously.

200 lockyer more possies than burns at centrebet ..not sure if burns played in the preseason..he didnt play last week so might be on the bench a bit due to lack of match fitness and hes one of the older magies..lockyer 19 possies last week.

GL, I'd have to disagree with your prop, Burns is a much better in the wet conditions than Lockyer, he played in the reserves last week, I think he was injured in one of the practise matches.

But on the flip there's a decent chance Burns will be tagging and therfore might have limited possesions

I am still waiting for Brennan to break out. That kid is talented but when you watch him play he plays well like a kid. Wish he played for Sydney

I'd compare him to Darrly White both extremely talented. It took White several seasons to get a good level of consistency, as it has with Brennan. Both very casual players who look like they are going half pace
