Yeah.. im from Norway, but I don't realy care about Norway in the Olympics (at least not the same way as for my soccer teams, Eagles, Flyers an Phillies...) except for hockey..
Before the tournament I saw USA vs Canada in this matchup with Norway getting knocked out in the semis. BUT, after watching them the whole tournament imo Norway and USA is in the same league -- a league way above the rest.. As for my Norway prediction of just a semis, so did rest of the Norwegian population so Norway can do the same as Sweden did yesterday -- go out and have fun + no one expect a win here so just relax...
Meanwhile Canada was big favs for this gold and is now only 1 game from a win. This is just th same situation that were yesterday. Yeah -- Martin & Co is experienced and have handled pressure before, but inho not of this dimention. And yeah -- they might handle it, but they might also not and at -400 imo is not worth laying...
If the olympics were in another country this would be another story..

So to summarize: I'm not saying Norway gonna win SU, but yeah I love the +1.5 at +120. I think this one gonna be just as close as their last mathup in this tournament and just one bad stone might ruin it for you. AND THEN it's the pressure who ruined it for Canada yesterday... Do they handle it or not?? This game is to open for me to lay -400 and im playing the value I see in the lines...

But your right... I hope Norway win, but if I had a decent line on Canada I'v might played them (Norway win - great   Canada win - money..)

Wow. You are chasing like hell with that Canada play, Angelus. Even though they are favorites to win. You can not deny the perfect stats on Thomas Ulsrud, and the rest of the team Norway is playing excellent as well. They also have a very good chemistry in the team. Not saying team Canada doesn't. But Martin have CHOKED before. And he may CHOKE again. Just like team Canada (W) CHOKED last night.

I think +128 on Norway +1.5 is insane in this match. I can't understand what Pinnacle is seeing here that I don't. Or maybe they are just collecting the juice from Canadians gambling on their own team. Noone with their right mind would play these guys at these kind of odds in a GOLD MEDAL FINALE. But you did. Wow.

Go Norway. We are the best (or second best) curling team in the world! And the norwegians are doing this on a hobby level. Pressure is off. Martin chokes. Ulsrud goes away with the gold medal.

    -300 Canada

    +240 Norway

I would say there a heck of a difference between the two lines.

    Good luck with your play.

Well, that's where we differ. I saw value at -285. Would I see value at -400? Probably not...but that's not the line I got so maybe you should quit throwing that number out there.

At -285, I think there is tremendous value. And the line is now up to -320 indicating that I got a pretty good line for this one.

Maybe some of you guys should create threads of your own instead of posting opposite plays in mine.

    GL today everyone.

One thing I will pipe in is, comparing Bernard to Martin is way off. Martin is hands down the best team in the world. Each year, they get better and I think back to the last two Briers against Howard and Stoughton and really, if he gets a two point lead on a team, he is unstoppable. I have never seen a team put a rock on the button like they can.

Is he unbeatable no? Could Norway win? Sure they could. We all know especially in curling a soft spot in the ice or a piece of debris can turn any game around at any point. Edin, was giving Martin all he could handle for four ends, then he missed one shot and the game was suddenly out of reach. To me that is what Martin does to you, is you have to play the perfect game.

I wouldn't play Norway to win (personally) but at +1.5 +145, that is pretty tempting. Ulsrud, has a terrible track record against Martin, yet he has shown though to play close games with him, that is why I would be grabbing the extra point in a heartbeat, if I was on Norway. Personally, if Ulsrud plays well, I think the Over is a great play.

Been a fun couple of weeks bantering about curling regardless of the outcome.

I am not betting on this game, though.

Sorry if I was a little harsh on you. I come in here and almost bash on you. That's not cool. So sorry for that, Angelus.

I will be watching and cheering for the obvious team. Hopefully we will see a very good game with lots of stones in play and not the safe defensive play. I doubt that will happen, so here's to one heck of a game

No worries thabeest, hoping for a good game as well.

Just to back up my play, Martin is 11-1 vs. Ulsrud which would translate into a money line of -1150. So, at -285, I see lots of value.

Now, maybe that's a stupid way of looking at it, but I do see value there.

Let's look at it from the other side. At a line of -285, Martin has to win this game 74% of the time. I personally think that as good as Martin's team is, in a game that means everything to them and they've been working towards for so long, he wins this game more than 75% of the time. Maybe y'all disagree, but that's how I see it. It may not win today, but I think this is a tremendous opportunity to take advantage of what SHOULD be a gold medal for Canada.

    I'm out.

Let's get one hell'ua game tonight and at least some of us win, and maby both of us gets out on + money after this one with me going big on the +1.5 while you got the CAN ML..
Cheers for a 1 pt Canada win

No worries man. We're all here for the same reason and it's good to talk to other curling fans out there.

    Canada now -345.

Wow, someone dumped a truckload on Norway pushing the line back down to -285. Late money came in on Canada and the line closed at -295.

    Go Canada go!

Just heard an interesting stat... Norway and Ulsrud have won vs Canada only once (thats ok..). The weird thing is that, the win came in Norway where we got the so called Nord Ice (the stone go much straighter and doesnt curl as much as in other countries, especialy North America...) Today the Canadians just say that it's Nordic Ice today, so.... It might come in play... Just a tought...

Your bet is looking great right now.... I'll give Norway 2% chance to get back in this one with the way each team is playing... Canada is playing like they'v done the whole tournament while Norway is just playing like crap... If Canada was on track from the start it would have been 7-0 by now...
