Think Sydney will be back in the mix to win it this season. Mkloma is a great pick up for them more so for her psycho attitude and nasty style of play, which should prevent the blondies crying and sulking like last season.

Think this will be a contest which makes 5 a healthy buffer.


Pulse +5  1u
Tactix have lost players through injury and defection to other clubs and not really picked up anyone of note. On paper they appear ready to take over from the Pulse at the bottom of the table. Resluts in the preseason were not to bad though.

Pulse have picked up a few players and should be more competitive. They won a preseason game between the two.

hi binomial, where do u get ur info from for these matches. i cant seem to get any h2h or stats, preseason form, only from anz champ website and some newspaper snippets.   thanx

dont know if u have seen it, but the new anz champ live update is pretty impressive while watchin game on tv.

info on preseason i have got trawling articles on google news. its hard going.

i came across a few articles that had two or three days scores from the tournaments but didn't bookmark them unfortunately. 

i also found a word doc with reports, scores and stats but couldn't find it again today.


over never looked likely, very sloppy game, muchos turnovers.

yeah its hard work getting anything of substance but that can also be a good thing imo. Prevents over-analysing things. I found a good article on newzealandherald.co.nz that gave a good run down of the personel comings and goings over the off season.

NZ sites seem to have the best coverage of this tournament.

agree the NZ sites are generally a better source of info.

their are previews for each team on the anz-championship site if you click on the team logo which aren't bad.

Tactix v Pulse under 98.5  1u
- Pulse were rarely under 100 last season but look a bit stronger defensively this season
- not sure that the shooting combo for Tactix will be up to par
- played 90 in the preseason and i think this could be a tense encounter somewhere around the same

Vixens -5.5  $1.85  1u
Vixens ML $1.33  2u
Revenge, Corletto being out and McMahon under done could be used to make a case for the Magic, but apart from beating the Fever in Australia they were embarrassed in the other Australian games games including a 58-43 loss to Vixens in the semi final.

They look a weaker team to me on paper, whereas Vixens have only one change apart from the Corletto injury.

leant towards the Pulse this evening but I want to see a little evidence that all their pre-season talk has some substance to it, tonight should be a good indcator against a weakened tactix side.

Agree with you on the total here Bino, reading through the ins and outs for both teams, especially canterbury, it makes sense tonight.

well done mate. a gud nite all round. vixens looked gud tonite. i have sent an email to netball australia and they have told me all stats from previous 2 years will be on anz champ website over the coming weeks.
