Short of Clarke, Katich and to a lesser degree Symonds and Haddin, what have the others done?

Although Hayden got a shocker of a decision today you would think he is running short on time especially with a couple of openers around the country scoring heavily in Shield cricket

He and Mitchell Johnson both look like they can handle the blade. Could be potentially legit all rounders. That backfoot drive for 4 late in the day by Krejza was probably the shot of the day

South Africa to win @ $5.50 - Mitchell Johnson is Australia's only bowler capable of taking wickets and Kreja sucks. Remember in India Australia were in a box seat and couldn't capitalise? They are not mature enough to finish off a test match. South Africa are.

McKenzie first man out @ $1.85
DeVillers more runs than Duminy @ $1.67
Amla more runs than Kallis @ $1.95

Smith most runs @ $4.50 - Captains innings

Smith most runs @ $4.50 - Captains innings    1st Innings score of 48 is his highest in Australia. Carrying an elbow injury that's getting worse (apparently). Seems risky.
But as always wish ou the very best of luck.
 
I am thinking Smith 1st man out.  McKenzie won't do THAT shot again and get out cheap. He would have had his arse kicked for that. Just a thought.

Oh dear. The fall from grace is in full swing now. I hope Cricket Australia is on the phone to Warnie as we speak. I cannot see this bowling attack troubling anyone. Time to ring in the changes.

Warnie is unavailable. Greg Matthew just sent him a text message. Warnie fell for it and is off to England to see some stripper nurse.

Sadly this is only the start of the decline IMO. Can't see them beating England in England against the swinging ball either.

I realise you were prolly half joking there but seriously, I hope CA does't resort to something like that.

This is a lean period for Australia but it's happened before and hopefully the captains running that ship can emerge from the current gloom and doom in the same fashion they did after that stretch during the 80's.  

when the going get's tough..........................?

Can't see too many changes at the moment. Loyalty crap plays a part in Australian Cricket for past performances.
Maybe 1 - 2 changes (many new faces tour) for tour of Sth Africa. If we lose there then I think ACB will make quite a few changes, mainly the bowlers.
Remember Krejza was only 2nd or 3rd choice spinner for India. Other bloke injured...........couple of good games and his name gets thrown around too.
 
It was only 2 games ago and B. Haddin's form was being questioned. Now look at him go.
