hey, 23-14 quarters are fucking boring for all concerned unless it's a grand final where that kind of production is understandable.

Sure, defense is for the basketball purists, but if these mugs want  Australia to fall in love with this game again, lets give the people entertainment with a capital EEEEE

I mean Battler, you sit here watching this game, can you not see opportunities for these chumps to inbound this thing quickly and run it down the throat of the opposition ?

very very classy gesture from Julius Hodge right there, indicating that the reason for the time out was not to rub in the margin of victory but to get some subs a run.

maybe it's a pipe dream given that we don't have the athletes here that can do the things those guys can do in the US, but I definitely think with these bums playing an extremely cushy schedule (what, 1.5 games / week or something?) we should be getting a heck of a lot more energy and intensity than we're getting.

the fact that Ray Charles could make a motza on betting this league by just putting his blind / dead ass in a position to hit "under" on every game is crap. And these bookies have been a lot sharper on totals this season, because a couple of years ago a game like tonight's would've been slapped with a 205 total for sure. Nothing, I mean nothing was set under 194.

But to return to the point I was making, we have teams in the ABA who play this up tempo style (the south west metro pirates here in brisbane)  and it's a tonne of fun to watch.

If we could slash the laziness out of these NBL players, we could have an exciting product to watch in a couple of seasons from now.
