Have a look at the QLD v Vic game, the Vic fielder jumped from outside the field of play and knocked the ball back into the field of play. The 3rd umpire looked at it 5 times and did nothing. It should have been a 6, instead 1....Qld lose by 3 runs....
It was so clear....The commentators didnt even say anything, bunch of deadshits all of them....
So frustrating...

Another thread to whinge about a rule you know nothing about. Your only argment seems to be the commentators said nothing. What's wrong with you? Maybe they didn't because unlike you they know the rules! Do you honestly think the umpire would be employed to review situautions like this if he was as clueless as you? Just stop betting on cricket

No that is definitely legit. Sorry mate if you lost money but if the ball comes into contact with the ground or through body onto the ground then it is 6. Otherwise if it was tapped back in without the player touching the ground EVEN if they were behind the rope then that is not six.
Look there are lots of quirks in cricket for example;
1) If the stumps get hit the bails fly in the air and land back onto of the stumps that is not out.
2) Likewise if player is out of their ground but the bails are not dislodged (just the wickets) taped then that also is not out.
3) If a new batsmen is not on the ground by 60 seconds of a dismissal then the batting team can made to forfeit that wicket.
I'm sure there are lots more.

Basically, what you are trying to say to me is this,
As the ropes are generally 5 to 10 metres in from the physical fence, if a batsman hits one and it is going to go over the rope but not the fence, why doesnt the fieldsman go over the rope - just before the fence, wait for it, as he is catching it, jump in the air and throw it back mid -air????????? You dont know what your talking about...
That way they will save 6....
