Oh bluephinn, why you gotta ruin my buzz mate? For you and those not in the know, here it was:
BLUEPHINN WROTE: The
Tigers were wobbling with Verlander on the mound and their pen was
mirroring that effect..A.J can have his moments however this ain`t gonna
be a pitching duel, bats and pens gonna decide the outcome in this
game..Yanks have too much class to let this one slip even with A-rod
sinking subs.Cabrera had bases loaded and no outs yet failed to
deilver..that tells me that the head is dead and they have no fire power
out side of Verlander to get the job done..Throw Valverde`s comments
into the mix and this becomes a solid wager..
YANKEES-[+105]Quick step...
HoH WROTE BACK: Cabrera knocked in a run with his double play.
Also, if Cabrera sputtered, Inge, Santiago, Kelly, and Young shined brightly instead.
That is not a reason to back against the Tigers, but a very worrisome trend for Yankee supporters.
Valverde's comments did nothing to help the Yankees yesterday, who have now dropped two in-a-row.
Yankees might win tonight, but your analysis (respectfully) is off, bluephinn.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yankees won the game 10-1, scoring 6 in the 8th Inning to break a 4-1 contest wide-open. Btw, I was rooting for the Yanks in the 8th because I had Over 9. Hahaha!
Anyway, please look at my final line to you bluephinn.....and I MADE SURE I SAID THAT...
Yankees might win tonight, but your analysis (respectfully) is off, bluephinn. "RESPECTFULLY" AND So, is it wrong to disagree with people on this site when discussing games? I said I was being respectful in my disagreement and shook your hand and yet you still lose your head at me in muliple posts in this thread on the AFL GF?
You mentioned Cabrera failed to deliver with bases loaded. I said, he failed to get a hit,
but he did knock in one run. You then use Cabrera getting one at one at-bat as the basis for saying that because the Tigers' leader is dead, they have no firepower. Yet, in the very game you reference, when Cabrera did indeed flop, all the secondary role-players shined through! Inge, Kelly, Young, Santiago...all played excellently to get the Game Three win! I was pointing this out to you, that you conclusion of if the Tiger's main player sinks so does the team, was not correct.
The Tigers are scrappy and built upon the contributions of anyone on any given day....no matter if they are a big start or a borderline minor leaguer. To me, this is not a reason to back the Yankees....but AGAINST THEM.
You then mentioned Valverde's comments as a possible firestroke, or bulletin board material, for the Yankees. But he said that after Game Two and the Tigers won Game Three. So that line of logic was faulty.
And of course, Fister coming in and slapping around the Yankees for five innings yesterday does prove the Tigers have firepower other than Verlander.
All my points
WERE BASED ON FACT AND VALID, yet because I disagreed with you, you took offense?
And of course I prefaced everything by saying the Yankees could win because anything could happen....there are no guarantees!!! Just like Geelong -46.5 against Sydney......and you state all the reasons why the Cats should win....but then say, of course, Sydney is a solid side and could win.
C'mon mate. We are here to help each other RESPECTFULLY, not take offense if we are in polite disagreement.
