Just woke up off the floor (no, not drunk!) and it's 3:30 in the morning and have to go to bed and get up again for work soon.  Was going to have a nice write-up for the Crows-Dons game but will not have to give you my pick and a very short explanation.  Do know that thought and consideration went into the pick and it is not just being played for the hell of it.

Adelaide -41.5 v. Essendon

I had my eye on this week immediately at the halftime of the Crows-Eagles game last round.  Adelaide got thoroughly trashed at the Subiaco and now reside comfortably in the domain of the AAMI.

The Bombers are way too yound and inexperienced to understand what the Crows will be coming into this match with.  The Dons are obviously not responding to the continual tirades of Knights and I expect them to shrink into their shell one of these rounds and just get flattened.  Is this the round?  Perhaps....maybe not...

The weather in Adelaide should be fine for this match and I see the Crows firing out on all cylinders.  Yes, I do not like giving up the big points, but last week's underdog heaven has punters scared and the books happy.  Happy that they will be scared off taking what should be easy blowouts.  Essendon's losses have not been pretty......averaging into the 60's for each.  When the Dons lose, they implode.

I'm biting.

Pick:  Adelaide -41.5

Forgot to add that this game will be televised nationally in Australia.  It is the first time in a loooong time, and only time this season, that the Corws will be on national tv.  The players have been talking it up a lot in the build-up for this week and are stating how they want to show the country and AFL fans what Crows' football is about.

And Craig is also stating that the Crows will be getting back to Top 4 football this round and make their case for why they are one of the top teams in the comp.

Essendon couldn't have picked a worse round to run into the Crows.

Absolute garbage.  One goal in the first term?  20 behinds?

Perhaps West Coast is being over-valued this week?

So much for the Crows responding to Craig's ass-kicking earlier in the week.  So much for wanting to show the nation "Crows Football."  Absolute disgrace.  Sure, they won, but when the Bombers get shallacked, even with Houli and Lloyd back in, next round, where will they be.

A lot of notable inclusions/exclusions this round which only work to fuzzy up the picture.

Will have to stay on top of those as well.

This round looks to be more challenging than I originally thought.

Well, I didn't have time to post as I hammered down a pitcher of Newcastle after work and then succeeded in firing 12+ Molson Canadians down my throat......................log on to see my play of the week hit.

Western Bulldogs +9.5.

Had a great write-up ready for this match against Hawthorn etc, etc, and totally get pissed and forget about it..............and log in to see a conclusive Dogs victory.   Good for me, but dang I wish I would have gotten in earlier to perhaps have swung some people on them as well.  Hopefully the early lean did it.  Hopefully others were on the Dogs as well.

As of now, pondering Geelong, but staying off them.  I do think they cover the 39.5 but have enough doubts to lay off.

I loved the Dogs ever since Hawthorn had announced midfielder trouble.  The Dogs run and run and run and I figured they would have trouble keeping up wit them and creating good enough ball to stay close.

Plus, THE TREND CONTINUES!!!

Whenever a majority of the big money is on a side, it cashes!!!  The Dogs fit this trend this round.

Are you sure gmanea?  I have 23 beers in me right now and still pretty sober.  I have Polish genes so it takes a strong liquor to knock me down.  Hammered the Bulldogs and feeling good.  Should I hit the Cats too?

Hahaha....great hit man.  You would have thought, after 23 beers, that you could have said, "Take the Mrs. credit card and hammer Geelong for the Spoon!!!" and I would have been all over it.  Geez....I guess the Adelaide misfire really shook me, as previously mentioned.  Did follow Rod in NRL though....bizarre as I did that but not hit the Cats.  Ack....

1-2 so far this round and not happy at all with it.  Layed off Geelong and thought about hitting the Maggies after Adelaide showed they were in shyte form (hence Weagles win last week would be overpronounced this round).  Two lay-offs and two missed wins.

And I must have been really sour about not getting in my PoW as I reminded people 14 times about it.  Hahaha...



Let's finish this round up nicely!
