@chic-cardinals There are billions at stake dude. How is making some Extra thousands “fixing” games on sports gambling going to help anyone? Jail time also is going to be handed out if caught. None of it is worth it to have a Fixed contest charge for some chump change to these guys. Educate yourself man.
You're only seeing a black and white scenario that you assume happens.
Yes, they get paid alot. No one's being given extra to cheat. They are paid that much to do as told.
That doesn't mean all have to know anything at all
A player is told to play man defense. He plays zone instead and gets a interception.
He thinks he did great. But a penalty is called that negates the int. Or his team ends up giving the ball back to the other because someone in the know fumbled it back, to get the outcome the league wants .
That player that knows nothing dies this a few more times. Makes plates that he thought were great, but ends up being released because he's deemed "uncoachable".
I've seen retired veteran players on Twitter comment on games, to the effect of .."are you kidding me? That game/those games look more and more like entertainment and fixed and not legit competition.
When announcers tell you over and over " you can't write it/script it any better....they flipped the script" . They are telling you to your face what they are doing.

i don't want to use the word legend here, cause that just sounds to "k*ss *ss"of a statement, but in my eyes you are definitely one of the more respected cappers on this site.I know the NBA isn't the NFL,but if it can happen in the NBA,I don't see how people can't think it possible it can happen in the NFL or any league for that matter. If you get a chance there is a documentary on Netflix called "Untold-Operation Flagrant Foul" about what happened in the Tim Donaghy situation.I'm sure you are at least somewhat familiar about the story.I do not believe he is or ever has been completely honest about what was going on (some parts of his story really don't make to much sense),or who else was involved (other refs). And i don't think the NBA was completely honest about the situation. But it does seem like to me once the league became aware of the situation, they leaked the story instead of keeping the undercover investigation going, for fear of the investigation finding other refs doing the same thing. Now he wasn't able to win all the games in which he was doing what he was doing, but I believe they determined he was hitting on about 75% of the games. My point is,if 1 guy can do what he supposedly did,it don't matter if millions of viewers see it,you don't need to have 22 players who are already making millions involved, the coaches don't need to be involved. All it takes is 1 guy with a whistle or flag to affect the outcome of games(especially sports that have a point spread).Anyway if you get the chance check it out, even if you don't believe it could or does happen, its still a pretty interesting story. Not the best documentary as far as the way they do it,but it's watchable.
