Missed posting my early plays, so here is my late night slammer:-

Perth-10.5 v Taipans

Perth at home coming off a lost is going to put the boot in this offensively challenged Taipans squad which has too often quit when the going gets tough. I'd be very surprised if the Taipans can stay within a 15 pt margin at the final buzzer.

Add 2H play:

Tigers-6.5 v Crocashit

Tigers 47-49 HT

if this were a 48 min game and the 163.5 total was 196 (do the math) I'd be all over the under but for the change to 40 mins has really changed the whole dynamic of betting totals imo. I mean we're getting quite a few scores under 40 min format that we regularly got in 48 min games in previous years.

JT I do agree to a certain extent but tough to bet and under when the cats are so explosive, particularly on their home floor. Cats love the uptempo game and its no coincidence that they are the highest scoring team in the league; avg 90+ ppg.

Cats are all over the taipans right now, getting whatever they wanted on offense and making the taipans shoot jumpers which is their main weakness

If this under is to stick, Cairns need to keep missing shots.

If Cairns suddenly find their range it's game over.

yeah I agree the Cats are a different beast this season (due to Beveridge) but my main point on totals per se was that they just seem really tight with the 40 min format.

games feel a bit more like a "sprint" this season

lol, the ghost of "moose" struck back at my place, there was a 'blackout' in my susburb with about 1 min left in the game so I had no idea until now whether the Cats hung on for the cover
