Rob Manfred and MLB need St. Louis Cardinals in post season and to put excitement in the mid west/east. Manfred should give Pujols a blank check for what he is doing for baseball.
Pitchers are piping him pitches, so he can run up his HR numbers. Don’t misunderstand me…he is a legend, he gets great pitches to hit.
I am predicting St Louis plays in the National League Championship Series. I’m not sold on the Braves, anymore. When I look at the Mets lineup, ?? They seem to play good at home. How about St. Louis and LA for the NLCS. Court is still out on Houston Astros. Does anyone like them? Will anyone watch the post season if they are representing? Yankees always have viewers. LA market vs NY Yankees market! St. Louis adds excitement and viewers all the way down to the end….but fall short!

Grew up in Missouri. Cardinals are good... fan base a huge plus... I am 57... seen some good baseball players and I concluded when Albert was in his prime... best hitter possibly... what separated him from the George Brett types... is his ball was just hit harder... his ball in gap went to the wall most times... this happened for years......he is not in his prime... and this is not an elite team... but cards are always .... always dangerous in playoffs.... the tradition says they will be confident and the fan base will support them very well.....I don’t think they can beat the elite teams... Mets / dodgers ... but ... tradition says cards could win.

Your take is ridiculous. There is no special treatment or targets for any team or player…Only morons try to explain things with conspiracy theories…or fixes…Come on, you are smarter than that…

Lol did you watch the home run derby? They helped Pujols advance, blatantly.
It's a entertainment business. There's nothing illegal about any league creating the outcome they want for a game or season.
