Perth started last week's Round 12 road trip with a come-from-behind win over New Zealand before producing a disappointing 84-109 performance against Wollongong on Saturday.
The Wildcats were well beaten in the top-of-the-table clash but Luke Schenscher (22 points and 10 rebounds) and Kevin Lisch (19) stood up in a losing effort.
They'll be looking forward to playing in Perth again where they normally beat Adelaide.
The Wildcats have a 34-14 home record against the Sixers and last lost to their old rivals at Challenge Stadium back in January 2006.
After being thrashed by the Hawks, there'll be no complacency from the Wildcats this weekend. Damian Martin, Brad Robbins, and Lisch were disappointed they couldn't shutdown Ty McKee and will be keen to deliver a better performance against Sixers point guard John Gilchrist.
Schenscher, whose season has gained momentum, will be out to produce a dominant performance against his old club.
But he won't be given an easy ride by the Sixers who are back in the winners' circle after a four-game losing streak. Schenscher will be pitted against the likes of former Wildcat Matt Burston, who's starting to click with his team-mates after a horror run with injuries, and Adam Ballinger who scored 28 points in the team's 91-81 win over the Gold Coast on Wednesday.
Coach Scott Ninnis said his team will have limited time to prepare for the Wildcats but was optimistic his players could deliver a better performance than the one that saw them spanked 110-80 in their last outing in the west.
"Their defensive pressure is a step up from most teams in the competition," Ninnis said. "We still looked a little wonky at times with some of our press release stuff (against the Blaze) but once again we don't have a big turnaround time and I think that's good at this time of the year."
"A lot of things with us is a mindset, we know we are going in there and we are going to face pressure, we know we are going in against a team that beat us by 30 so that should be motivation enough for us."
