Yes 7 units is an above normal play from the 5 units I usual make. I actually think the books have set this line with the same thought process as yourself (not taking a shot here just trying to justify the currrent total line).
The stat of playing 1 game over 200+ so far this season has to be taken with a grain of salt because you got to consider their opponents in each of the matches they have played thus far. It is fair to say the majority of them are up there with the better defenses in the league
- Game 1 (HOME) - Bullets 115-105 (no explanation required there)
- Game 2 (AWAY) - Kings 88-79 (well again, Kings have the best defense in the league coupled with the fact that they had been atrocious from the floor in terms of shooting stats, this game was never going to be a high scoring one)
- Game 3 (AWAY) - Slingers 99-93 (110 points scored in the first half, second half meltdown by both teams up in Singapore, the gym is never known for its high scoring and much of that has to do with the uncomfortable (humid) conditions of playing in Singapore. Having said that the OVER fell 2 points short)
- Game 4 (AWAY) - Taipans 88-72 (faced the second best defensive team in the league on the road, again not an expected scoring fest in this one)
- Game 5 (HOME) - Tigers 96-90 (3rd best defensive team in the league, having said that the over in this was fell just short of the mark)
- Game 6 (HOME) - Blaze 97-82 (Perhaps this is the only concerning game for me, although the Slingers shooting stats on the road are so far below their %'s at home I would have expected a much high scoring contest in this one)
- Game 7 (HOME) - Blaze 102-92 (This is a much better indicator, Hawks play poor defense much like the Sixers, sure the total didn't hit 200+ but the OVER was achieved in this game)
Summary O/U - UNDER is 5-2 in Blaze game to date. However one has to consider they have only played the Hawks once, and not yet played the bottom defensive teams in the league at all including Crocs, Pigs, Dragons & Sixers who fill the bottom spots of the defensive charts in the league.
Sixers still without their best perimter defender in Davidson meaning Harvey will be getting a lot of looks tonight. Also when considering a total I like to predict which team will control the tempo - for me I think the Sixers will given they play so much better at home.
Well that is my rationale of playing the OVER tonight, too many unders for the Blaze by virtue of the superior defensive units they have come up against to date.

I missed the in games tonight but just looking at the scoring how did the total in Adelaide not go over?
Tough one there, other 2 were flat out terrible selections.
