Dogs v Saints

I've just got one of those feelings that the Dogs could pull an upset here. Saints apart from the last quarter were not convincing in their last game.

Looking at playing the OVER for anything under 202 otherwise no play. Expecting this to be out tomorrow around lunch at Sportsacumen.

The over is probably the best play
 
The saints certainly weren't convincing first half last week. The dogs may win the midfield which will certainly keep them in the game.

Tozer I like the OVER in games with mismatches. I think the Saints have a very underrated defence but I also think, no stats available to me, that the Cats and Doggies have the widest spread of goal kickers in the league. The Dogs will probably move the ball quick and that should negate in my mind (as we have seen done against Sydney) the better D of St Kilda.

We will see I'll be checking Sportsacumen at around noon and hopefully they have their total up. In the meantime;

Doggies +16.5

Hudgton's past performance on Johnson have been great but with your point of multiple goal kickers for the dogs that contest may not matter.

BUT waiting to see what the total is set at Sportsacumen.
 
200.5 translates to 8.3 per quarter so looks like I will take the OVER.

Now the only thing worrying about the OVER in tonights game is that the Saints tend to waste the last couple of minutes of each quarter whic means about 10 minutes less of game time or another way to look at it is potentially 3 goals.

i took   Saints 1-39/under 200.5    $4.00

i went to the drawn game (think it was 87-87) last year between these 2 teams .....and it was the ugliest game i had gone too until i went to the saints swans game this year.

Lyon (saints coach)said that this should be a close game .... its got me thinking the saints are going to play keeping off and it will be a a lower scoring affair than what would have been .....i think the saint win by 3 goals and the total stay uner 200.....at $4.00 i didnt hesitate

106 - 90 sort of game


I really like sydeny this week .... they will be my donkey tip of the round

Happy Hawks game
 
Not sure what to think about the total here. I don't the Hawks will have a downer after their trip back east and I don't think the Roos (aka Gold Coast) can win it. Strange then that the start favours the Roos at +15.5 anyone got any insights into that ?
 
With regards to the total posted at Sportstab of 193.5. I think the Hawks can kick a big score even with Buddy love getting 'man-handled' but not sure about the Roos. I am worried about them kicking another 67 points. This article of afl.com.au is quite interesting but I think it might be more of the coach doing a smoke screen on his own forward options. What do people think ?

Dockers I think will chalk up their first win today.............. so long as they talk Headland out from HF and put him down back. The guy can't kick even from 5 metres out.
 
Carlton has a good chance to down the Bombers today.
 
No betting on Sydney / Brisbane game. Just going to enjoy the spectacle.

Not sure Cashing. They are playing at the MCG which probably is not good for the OVER. On the reverse these are two running sides. If you want to play the OVER wait later in the day for Sportsacumen to post their totals and see if it is lower. Keep an eye on the weather too.

I like it actually, Carlton has the worst defense in the league and have had so for the last few years.  As ecoute said, Essendon have a running game and should be able to knock up a score.
