Bad day for England. Below par by about 100. Too many batsmen got in but did not go on. Australia’s day definitely.

Apart from Siddle with his aggression, line and length, the Australians were playing their old style cricket, pushing ball wide of off stump, and see what happens next.

Its not rocket science what Siddle did, he bowled at the stumps, the rest of the bowlers did not. Proper bowling is to bowl at the stumps and induce the drive, induce the stroke and you get the reward.

Ponting good captaincy conserving Siddle, then bringing him back.
