thoughts???? I think Cav gets this one even though he was a punk in the last sprint

hey guys question for you....my friend is not such an experienced gambler, however, I am. he has Cavendish UNDER 3.5 stage wins at +150 (200 to win 300)

I told him to put 40 to win 60 (total 100 return) on Cav to win stage 12.....if he wins that put 100 on Cav to win stage 13 at probably the same price. so (100 to win 150.....250 total return)....so this way he'd be even or if he wanted put the 250 on Cav to win stage 21 to get back about 450/500 total. if he does this, he would be up about 200.

any thoughts or advice. I know its a lot to look at but any input would help. thanx a lot.

Stage 12

I had $50 on Cav and $10 on Greipel in Stage 10... My plan was to chase the two over the next 2 stages. So it'll be the same two riders for me for the next couple days unless one of them wins.


Cavendish  +110    $100 to win $110

Greipel  +275    $20 to win $55

The final 1km has two 90degree turns which in my opinion cancels out the advantage of a good lead out train..

Money should be on the guys who don't necessarily need the good lead out to win (strike through greipel) leaving cavendish and sagan.. Both riders are good value I think but Sagan ($11/$2.40) is way too good to pass up.. If he can stay up the front with the main few guys I think he can definitely win.. I think I might have a shot at odds..

Wow scary finish......a crash and things can easily get dicey.

Lotto-  have the best train and will need it to work to its fullest potential if they are to get Greipel the win. A very possible outcome as long as its just Henderson and Greipel around the final bend, the team will be leading out during the final few kms so can avoid a crash if there is 1.

Cannondale- if there is a crash and Sagan is involved it could be bad enough to affect the green jersey, cannondale won't want this and will push to be up front to.

Argos- kittle and the team have probably performed the best so far and a stage victory is not fully off the charts but like team lotto this will come down to how the team set them self up.

Omega- can they correct themselves, can they set themselves up? This is the perfect stage for cavendish yet I'm still not purely sold. With the final bends the sprint is not based around power, but speed. Cav is the fastest and if the team fail him, don't be surprised to see him on greipel s wheel.

Goss and kristoff are deep sleepers here.

JJBrez... Sorry I never responded to your question. Not sure if your friend ended up doing it that way or not but hope it works out. It's a tough call and I really didn't have any input either way. We'll see how today plays out.

Kittel wins again. Looked like Cav had it and Kittel comes out of nowhere to win again. Cavendish is obviously not as dominate as he once was. Kittel the new kid on the block.

Zero shot at 4 now. Only hope he has is to get 3.

And WOW.... I'll be the first to admit that I have underestimated Kittel. Great power to out sprint the Manx Missile today!

Doubt Cavendish will be in contention tomorrow. I like Sagan.
Cavendish to win in Paris... That's all for him.

a couple questions from someone who doesn't know anything about cycling....

announcers were talking about froome being disappointed with today's results. he has a 2:28 lead and he's strong in the mountains right? isn't he a heavy favorite to win the overall still?
