Winner without the favourite:

10 units Investec Loyal @ $1.95 (NSW/VIC TAB)

Forget getting on it, it is $1.45 now. 3 days ago it opened at $1.80 which was a surprise because it should have opened at $1.10. A day later, on Thursday, it got to $1.95 and that's when I took it. A day after that, (late last night and early this morning) it got smashed into $1.67 and then $1.45. If you want to take it @ $1.45, feel free. That is still over the odds. But you might be better off taking it @ $1.40 to come top 3 @ Sportingbet to be on the safe side.

Investec Loyal is the second best yacht in the race. The odds don't make sense for it to win without Wild Oats. Investec Loyal will either come second to Wild Oats or beat Wild Oats.

2 units Wild Thing top 3 @ $3 (Sportingbet)

Everywhere else has this at $2 or below. Third place will be hotly contested between Wild Thing and Lahana. One of those yachts will come top 3 and considering the odds, I'm taking Wild Thing. Wild Thing has had bad luck the last few years but before that was one of the best boats in the race. Last year they hit a media boat at the start which didn't help them, then they had troubles the previous year. This year, they have a smaller crew and have taken weight off the boat. If the wind conditions suit, they should come third. Happy to take the $3 odds. Anything else and I wouldn't have taken it.

3 units Brindabella over Hugo Boss @ $2.20 (Centrebet)

Both yachts are great, but Brindabella I give the edge to here. Hugo Boss will come 9th or 10th. Either way I'm taking the odds here as they are worth it. I give Brindabella a 60/40 edge here and with the odds being $2.20, I'll happily take it.

3 units Mondo to beat Ella Bache @ $1.60 (Centrebet)

Ella Bache has the youngest crew in the race doing their first Sydney to Hobart crossing a wild bass strait. I'm taking Mondo here. Yes they may have done a practice run in late November, but no. I can't see Ella Bache doing much.

Handicap Winner:

1 unit Loki @ $11 (Centrebet)
1 unit Living Doll @ $17 (Centrebet)

One of these will take the handicap win. Not sure which one but at odds, I'll take both

Only know a little about America's Cup but have turned a profit in the past, but have only bet on it once.

The Sydney to Hobart is where it's at.

Mondo is now ahead of Ella Bache. The other H2H lost. Mondo was behind Ella Bache by over 30 NM and is now 10 NM in front so I got no idea what happened but it should still go down to the wire as it's flipped/flopped.

Loki is currently leading the Handicap honours ahead of Living Doll. Unless a back marker performs somehting (highly possibile depending on conditions), Loki should have it but far from calling it at the moment.
