NBL and WNBL Week #11

Question

Hey all,Well this season is flying by. Cant believe we are into Week #11 already. NBL: 23-17WNBL: 14-12Well I watched the Kings play last weekend vs Perth and they got smashed but so did Melbourne. The game tonight is a hard game to cap because who knows how Melbourne will respond. If anything, i will have a totals play on this game because I don&#x27;t like that big -11.5 line. NZ got a similar line that hovered around -11.5 to -13.5 at some books and they won by 12. I don&#x27;t see why Melbourne should be getting the same line as NZ as Melbourne have slipped away from their great start which was due to scheduling I believe. What other team has been given 7 straight home games? Anyways, these 2 teams have already played twice this season with Melbourne winning both by 14 and 11 points. Totals in these 2 games have hit 178 and 199.Will post later, closer to tip-off, just wanted to get the ball rolling.P.S. Watched Damion James (new US Import for Kings) and he was not impressive at all. Hit his first shot and then missed the following 6-7 of them. Turned the ball over a lot as well.

Thanks RonchtabasondraSydney Kings @ Melbourne United: Melbourne -11.5Couple of reasons. Firstly, Melbourne haven&#x27;t covered a line in the past 8 games. Yep, thats right. They have failed to cover the line in their last 8 games. Haven&#x27;t covered a line since playing Sydney last time back on 5th November. Secondly, the Kings are horrendous. Cadee should get eaten alive tonight by Holt. Majok is going to own the paint. Goulding, well I hope he gets hot tonight from downtown. Kings getting another big line of &#x2B;11.5. As explained above, they got a similar line against NZ and covered if you got them at &#x2B;12.5 or more. Melbourne have a heavy road schedule coming up as well. We all know how bad they are on the road this season. They have just 5 games at home remaining. They need to win these games. Kings season is basically over. Expect a blowout after last weeks&#x27; terrible performance vs the Wildcats. Something like 93-77 Melbourne I hope.

Hope Melbourne do win this game mate and hope they win big time. They got embarrassed last weekend allowing 113 points which is insane for 40 mins of ball. That was on the back of Perth going crazy from downtown. Kings, not so crazy from downtown last weekend but they could change in this game. I just don&#x27;t see how Kings can keep this close with their team. Khazzouh is soft, he will get punished by Majok. Brandt is tougher but still, Majok will create so many 2nd chance points on the offensive end (I hope) which he might kick out to Holt/Goulding to hit some 3&#x27;s.

Chris Goulding: Over 19.5 PointsHe hit 31 last time they met in Sydney. With my expectation that Melbourne roll in this game, it will be from either Goulding and Holt they get their points from. Kickert will have his eye on Khazzouh, Majok will have Brandt if he draws the start. Those are 2 good match-ups and Majok doesn&#x27;t score many points and it was Kickert last week racking up the points for Melbourne. Look for Goulding to come out strong in this game. My usual plays are 2 units, this is just a 1 unit play because player performances can always turn sour in case of injuries etc so will just use the 1 unit on this play but I think he goes for around 26-30 points tonight.

Perth Wildcats @ Cairns Taipans: Taipans +3

Taipans gave it to Perth last time they met across in Perth with almost stealing victory over there which is always hard to do in Perth. Massive game for Cairns if they want to keep their season alive right now. Perth have the Crocs on deck on Saturday so they are doing the QLD double. I think Perth come out strong this game but Cairns claw their way back and win this game S/U but will take the points.

Canberra Capitals @ Perth Lynx: Capitals +18.5

Amazing what a year turnaround can do to a team. Last season, Perth was getting +18 and +25 sometimes on the road, now they are laying -18.5 at home. As explained last week, Capitals have taken in Stallworth from SEQ Stars and she has helped them be very competitive in their last 2 road games last weekend. Losing by 4 and 6. Think they can keep this within the number tonight.

Sydney Kings @ Illawarra Hawks: Hawks -8.5

Still don't believe that the Kings did that last Wednesday night vs Melbourne. One thing is for sure, Melbourne have fallen off their perch and do not look good at all. Hawks on the other hand, look very good. They have been very good at home this season and now when i think of the line I got the other night (-11.5) for Melbourne and now only -8.5 for Hawks who have been very impressive over the past 5 games (best in the league), I really really love this play. See the difference in this game will hopefully be the shooting from Penney, Ogilvey and Lisch. These guys are great shooters and especially at home. Kings coming back from Melbourne to Wollongong,

Sydney Uni Flames @ Bendigo Spirit: Over 76.5 1H

Both teams coming off gruelling games. Flames had Townsville last weekend and the Spirit had Melbourne. If it wasn't for OT in Sydney's game, that game would have gone under. Think both teams come out with a breath of fresh air and push the pace 1H in this game. I have been noticing that Bendigo do come out strong and not so defensive 1H and then clamped down on D in the 2H. Flames don't defend to well, they push the pace and with Swords, Ebzery and Co on deck, I think both teams can hit close to 80-85 points in this 1H.

These 2 teams have already met this season with a low scoring affair and game only hitting 144 yet the books set that game at 157.5 so my logical thinking here is that the books expected a decent score in the first match-up which they didn't get, and now they lower the line by 10 points from the initial total given about 6 weeks ago? Boomers are just 1-5 on the road to the over so I expect that to also change after tonight. Rangers 3-8 to the over as well so massive under trends for this game but I am thinking that this game clocks over 150 and remains very close.

Yeah Peekay, grabbed it as soon as I saw it today around 12 when Sportsbet released the lines mate. Lynx are good team at home and have some great players, I have capped this game for a Lynx win by 12 but thats cutting it close with &#x2B;14 right now.
