Would still take this line up to 7 Webber.. I expect a big win tonight from the 36ers.
GL D-Play, also on the 36ers. I wouldn't let the last 4 games impact the season. Joey Wright said that he didn't want his men to run and gun and play as hard once they wrapped up the top spot because in recent seasons they have lost good players in the back end of the season and he said it wasn't worth the risk.

Understand completely Aussie. Regardless of their record, this 36ers team is still very young and lacks playoff experience and can only gain confidence from winning and building upon that momentum. That's how they roll.
This game is a tight tussle right now.

Yeah good call....i capped this game at 6 so it was a lil too close for my liking, however that final qtr definitly showed the 36ers are back. nice call

Can't wait for this series to start, should be an epic battle.
Wildcats+3.5 @ Taipans (Game 1)
Margin: Either Team by Less Than 7 @ $2.28 (Crownbet)
Should be a tough, physical and bruising encounter but the experience, leadership and championship quality of this Wildcats team is just too hard for me to ignore. Perth is finally healthy and peaking at the right time and has all the key ingredients to repeat as champions.
Both teams match up well against one another and if Perth can limit the impact of Jawai (touches in the low block) and Trice (penetration and dish off) then they will have a great chance to steal this one on the road. Prather is virtually unstoppable when he is in attack mode as he did so last week against United when he top scored with 26 points and 11 assists. Cotton is the glue that binds this whole team together. The performances of Cotton, Prather and the defensive stalwart Damo will hold the key to Perth's success in this series.
Expecting tonight's game to go right down to the wire, hence the margin play and the Wildcats with a realistic chance to pull off an upset.

Hawks got the home calls from the refs & pulled out the victory late. Sets up a huge play for 36ers in game 3, expecting line to be 5.5 to 6 so grab it early when your bookie releases it.

The Prather & Cotton combo offense takes the cats to a whole new level that we haven't seen before, one that the Taipans cannot go to. They have the game to trouble the 36ers & go all the way.
Game 2 will be a sweep.

Everything is pointing towards a Wildcats sweep tonight. Perth with home court advantage, is the best ranked defensive team with both their imports clicking and playing with the hunger and desperation needed to win the championship.
Trice scoring average drops significantly whenever he plays Perth cause Damo is such a key lock down defender. Cannot see Cairns lifting and taking their game to another level when clearly the cats can take multiple gears to their arsenal when both imports are clicking like they are right now.
Cairns is not a team of superstars they function well as a team and will need a hell of a performance to get the W on the road tonight. I can't see it happening, lay the chalk and take Perth for a confident victory tonight.

Thanks guys, great run so far in the playoffs.....loving every minute of it.
Hawks @ 36ers -4.5 (BIG) (Game 3)
Locked this play in a few days ago, hard pressed for time but here is the writeup.
Considering the lack of standout talents for the Hawks and the league change this season to allow for 3 imports per team, I do believe that Bevo has done a terrific job of getting this team to where they are. To me this hawks team has overachieved with a low budget & no dominant import on their roster.
Key points for the Hawks in their first 2 playoff games thus far:-
Olgilvy is the supposed team leader for this Hawks team but his scoring avg has gone down in these 2 playoff games from avg 11PPG. He has a tendency to get get into foul trouble; fouled out in game 2. Their other bigs are Kay (playing decent) and Holyfield (good rebounder but no scoring threat around the basket).
Hawks bench has been getting it done it their last 2 games which is a worrying sign for me:-
G1 starters combined 35 points v bench 43 points
G2 starters 50 points v bench 50 points
Both bench players, Coenraad & Clarke have stepped up to the plate and carried the bulk of the scoring load for their team. Can they do it again tonight?
Hawks team relied on quick ball movements & get it to the open player for the shot but they don't have a dominant or standout player that can create or hit the crucial basket down the stretch in a tight tussle.
Randle had an off shooting night in G2 but 36ers were in the match right down to the last 2 minutes (36ers trail by 6 points) when the ref ruled a personal foul for the deliberate leg tackle by Olgilvy on Jacobsen which on replay should've been a technical. That call could've change the complexion of game 2.
Big credit to coach Bevo for always getting the most out of his team, but at this level they seemed to be outclassed by a more young and athletic team that plays well with a ton of confidence. Take the 36ers to win well in the decider on their home court. The Hawks have done well to get this far considering the level of talent they have on their roster.
