The Rangers blew a nice lead but nonetheless, they covered the +7.5 spread...
Now onto tomorrow's games. Only 1 in each league.
The King schedule doesnt get any easier.
Tomorrow they play in Sydney after just playing in NZ on Friday night, so they get less than 48 hours rest. Then on Thursday they are back in NZ again to play the Breakers again. After that game they fly across to Adelaide to face the 36ers with just 48 hours rest. That is just brutal and makes me think they are unbackable tomorrow especially against a team like the Hawks.
The WNBL game I have a strong lean already and currently shopping around for the best line I can find. Will post soon..

Melbourne Boomers @ Canberra Capital: Boomers -1.5The Capitals played Friday night in Townsville and a recent article has shown that they have had some major flight delays in getting back home to face the Boomers. They arrived just a few hours ago and now have to get some rest after spending all day in Brisbane airport. The Boomers rested after Friday nights game and their key players didn't play big mins because of the blowout. I expect this line to rise before tip-off but I just think Cambage and her team mates will get the job done in this game.

It's hard to pick a team in this match up but all I can say is that the hawks team chemistry is a lot better right now compared to sydney
but both teams on one days rest and the Hawks have flown five hours across oz for this game and the kings three hours back from nz
kings need to win today because their schedule is just mental

Thanks mate but it may have come at a cost for Melbourne. Prather took a heavy blow to the leg and he will be assessed today or tomorrow to see how bad the injury was. We might get some high lines for this team even with him out and Goulding coming in.

Also read D-Play that the Bullets will be playing 4 games in 8 days once they return from the US. They have the following in that 8 day schedule:

So the do have a tough schedule but at least they get 3 home games out of the 4.

Well the Boomers just keep rolling and look like the competition leaders right now. Early in the season but anything is possible but the 6 hour lay-off in Brisbane airport for the Capitals sucked the life out of them no doubt and they weren't able to prepare well for this game..
Boomers too strong for the Capitals.
YTD: 8-1
Next weekend we have some very good games and the Thursday Night NBL game is Kings @ NZ (once again) and I have my eye on a play for that game but waiting on lines...
There are 2 games in the WNBL on Thursday which are Flames @ Fire and Spirit @ Lynx.
The Spirit just torched the Lynx on Saturday night scoring 105 points which is massive for 40 mins of ball and the Fire took a while to get going against the Capitals on Friday night but got the job done eventually.

Shannon Shorter also missed last nights game as he flew home for family bereavement. Hope he gets back in time for Saturday's game but Adelaide should still win without him.
Lisch picked up a calf injury today & could miss some time.
Prather was interviewed today, he said the injury is not as bad as first thought so we could see him back fairly soon. United with Vickerman looks the good so far.
Next Fiday's match Perth v Melb United should be a guy, Casper v Bryce is worth the price of admission alone.

Putting these nba games at the start of the nbl season is just pure madness. I believe it does more harm than good to an nbl team particularly with such a tight schedule as is. The wear & tear on these nbl teams could be felt later in the season. That's where team depth is most crucial.
