What's Up Everyone!
 
 
Wow the NFL season flew by and it seems like yesterday I was posting my ArenaBowl picks from last season.
 
 
I'm going to start the season a little carefully as I want to see a few of these teams and try and get a more complete feel for the entire league as we move into the 2008 season.
 
 
I see a few unders for week 1 that I really like so let's lead off the new season just like I ended last season and thats with an Under bet and another win (hopfeully )
 
 
New Orleans at Los Angeles
Under 106 (- 110)
 
 
Orlando at Philadelphia
Under 106 (- 110)
 
 
Again we will see how it goes this week....

Where did you get lines at?  I'm still waiting for Pinny to put them up.

I read that Pinnacle is not doing AFL this year.

Just found the Arena Forum. My buddy's dad owns part of the Orlando Predators so I've been following the league closely for the last few years. Hoping I can contribute something during the year.
 
Like the Philly/ORL under, especially with the LB rule change this year. Also leaning to Philly -6, and Cleveland +2.

LVSC came out with their numbers yesterday...

I probably have the only local in the country who takes AFL action....heck my man even takes NHL action as well....i'm 99% sure he is nothing more than a runner for a bookie in Windsor but I have never asked and I could care less as he pays me on time....

but also we just got a team here in northeat ohio so he was telling me alot of his NFL players are looking to bet AFL this season.....

i would think the online books should be starting to come out with their lines but i have not checked

and Moosed i would be carefull with Cleveland....remember they are the same team that moved from Las Vegas and remember how good they were last season .....i'm hoping with a couple of player moves and Bernie running the team that things will turn around...
 
 
I already have tickets to 4 home games.....passed on season tix as every time i get season tickets for anything I seem to never be able to make a game.....maybe next season

I read that too.  Alot of us wrote emails and now they have the lines up! 

The LA total has droped to 103.5 and the Philly game also dropped to 104.5.  Still looking over at this.

The Cleveland play was more a fade of NY than an endorsement of Cleveland. But you are right, they were pretty bad last year in Vegas. Made a few moves in the offseason + hopefully a fired up home crowd in the Ohio debut + no matter what the sport I'm always a sucker for a home doggy.

wow both of these lines have gotten bet down big time.....
 
 
just a heads up I would probably lay off tonight game at the current number but I would still bet Under in the Philly game down to around 99.....
 
maybe some value with the over in LA at 101....not sure

both lines have dropped 5 points in 3 days....are they really getting that much action in Arena already?

makes you wonder what kinda cash someone has dropped on those unders

The O/U has dropped to 100 right now.  If you took the under 106, very nice middle opportunity there.

Just wondering what your record was last year, in units or % or whichever way you kept track, I want to start tailing someone for Arena as I heard it is a pretty easy sport to take advantage of the lines.

I had a really good year last season in the AFL....for the whole year I hit at 62%.....i was much better than that posting on Covers but since I joined in June the season was half over.....but posted plays were like around 68%

 

i will warn you this.......the first few weeks can be a roller coaster ride....i'm going to be paying more attention to the teams and whats going on in the league than the plays for that week...once we get into about week 4 I normally feel really good to go and things start to take off......if i start out hot thats just a bonus

Game ends with 101 points being scored.  You could have had a very nice middle.

I'm new to AFL and I know the season is just starting ... but did Kansas City really go from opening at -3 to +2??  The O/U went from 105 down to 96??  Crazy line movement.  My question is:  Is this normal or red-flag material?

I think LVSC has no clue how to set these lines right now....and there are alot of people who know more about this league than LVSC does....after a couple of weeks you wont see such crazy line movment, trust me they will catch up....right now if one sharp player makes a wager on an under the line drops a couple of points....just unstable lines right now

anyone have a say on dallas/force game?.....force lost 2/3 of the receiving core and their off. cord. and dallas did nothing but add some vet's and stockpile talent.......

i think dallas -6 is a good pick but would like to hear any arguments diff.
