If politics are to be my basis, i'm already perservering. Trump/Vance have doubled on their message of mass deportation. Trump also just made it clear that he intends to hold the homeless accountable for their actions. While this is a city, county, state problem, having the President-elect verbally address another huge elephant in the room is reason for optimism.
With that said, this is a college basketball thread.

It's not the state of homelessness but the refusal of mental health care and the rampant drug use that will be addresses. Quite honestly, it will initially take the form of picking up offenders and throwing them in the tank with repeat and/or felony offenders being sent to county. It's a complicated issue but accountability is the beginning. Right now streets and entire communities are being essentially handed over. To start, open air drug dealing and use has to stop. I grew up Oakland during the crack era. Most crackheads had homes. Heroin addicts had homes. The Mad Max post-apocalyptic conditions I have seen with my own eyes, in multiple cities across multiple states, need to stop.

People think oddsmakers try to trick them. I think more often than not, they actually give you the answer. When I look this team down the road in Corvallis, I see them as easily 16.5 points better than Fullerton. The oddmakers tell me I am wrong and set the number at 12.5 instead. I can't resist the bait. Who remembers the bench mob days of Monmouth basketball? My, how they have fallen. I focus on specific small conferences. I once tried to make the Metro one of those conferences but could never get my bearings. I did, however, win a ton on Monmouth. Now they're not even in the Metro and have become somewhat of a doormat. I'm not super in love with the high number but i'm gonna sprinkle a little bit on Rutgers.
