My cbb betting days are long behind me.
I was a dog player for the most part, so seeing so much chalk makes me feel uneasy.
Good Luck to you sir on your endeavors

As you will see if I remember to keep this thread going, I wager on the same teams and conferences over and over again. All smalls abd mid-majors. You'll see me in the Ohio Valley, the Patriot, the Summit, etc. Not so much in the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big East. Sometimes but not much.
High Point 1h -8 -103, 1 unit
I'm on them again. Gonna back them until I have a reason not to.
Wheat Shockers 1h -9.5 -110, 0.5 unit
I'm still trying to figure out the identity of this post-Metro era Monmouth team. I have done well fading them the last few years. Maybe they can recapture the magic of 10 years ago. Lets see it. The Shockers themselves have fallen a bit from their former grace but I still think they are world's ahead of this version of Monmouth.

Yeah, bro, getting anything in a tire sucks but pales in comparison to dealing with a hurricane I guess.

We're gonna start off today with Cincinnati. This is one of those games where the oddmakers are telling us that the two teams are closer than what public perception might dictate. I think Nor'tucky isn't as bad as their 0-3 record. However, I can't stress enough just how close these two campuses are. When you're from the West Coast, states are huge. It wasn't until visiting that region some years ago that I realized how close everything is. And it doesn't get closer than Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. I think the Bearcats will travel well and overwhelm the Norsemen.
Cincinnati 1h -7 -105, 2 units
Again, the number tells me Northern Kentucky is the play but I can't pass up a ranked team playing their first road game 5 minutes away against a winless opponent, even if I do believe the Norse are better than their 0-3 start.

Montana State has spent a fair bit of time east of the Rockies in their young season, visiting Madison and Wichita respectively. They came home for essentially a warm-up game before heading back out to Denver, a short flight away. Now the head back to the Midwest. I don't think that Northwestern is worlds better than Montana State. I don't think Montana St is as a bad as their 1-3 start. However, I do believe home court has it's most value when smalls to mid-majors travel outside of their proximity to face power conference teams. This is purely a home cooking pick.

A trend in today's picks has been how lesser teams have to travel a bunch outside of their region during non-conference play. This brings us to Bethune-Cookman. SWAC schools are absolute trash in basketball. They're essentially a D-2 comference. You'll often find success fading the SWAC during early non-conference play. Bethune-Cookman has traveled from the east coast of Florida to Lubbock, West Texas, to Lincoln, Nebraska, where the did lose by only 5 against a 23 point spread, and Fort Wayne, Indiana. They came home for their lone win against South Carolina State. I that win they were 1-12 from deep but were blessed with 30 trips to the charity stripe after averaging 10 attempts in their first 3 games. They don't shoot it well. They don't get to the free throw line. And the have a bad assist:turnover ratio, a metric I always love fading. Now they travel to NoLa. I have flown from N.O. to Atlanta. It's not exactly a short flight. I think this is another food fade of a over-matched team who has spent the I opening of their season not at home, not in a tournament, but traveling far from their home region.
