What percent of mass shooters are on psychotropic medications or some other form of pharmaceutical in the US? Is that your question?
Im not sure. But I’d be willing to guess that the true % would shock you.

Does anyone in the general public really need an assault weapon? I know everyone has a right to own one but perhaps we can start there. These weapons are killing machines.
We are at a point where you can build your own gun or bomb with instruction on how to do so online. Do we need this type of knowledge? Do we want our kids exposed to this knowledge?
This weekend is Memorial Day & I'm sad to say, it might be one of the deadliest in our country's history.
BTW..IF YOU HAVE A FLAG FLY IT. IF YOU DON'T GO BUY ONE!

One thing we can agree on.

“Neither the Constitution, nor state law, impose a general duty upon police officers or other governmental officials to protect individual persons or property from harm — even when they know the harm will occur,” said Darren L. Hutchinson, a professor and associate dean at the University of Florida School of Law. “Police can watch someone attack you, refuse to intervene and not violate the Constitution.”
Any questions?

You can't agree on that no one needs an assault weapon?

You can't agree on that no one needs an assault weapon?
So what's the answer Democrats, since Republicans are so evil. Tell us the answer.
Universal background checks (should take weeks not days), mandatory safety features, penalties for dealers & gun owners if weapon is used by someone else for a criminal act, assault weapon and magazine ban, free mental health care for all, national gun buy backs for gas or gift cards, etc. Take some of the loopholes out of gun laws like the state being able to come to the homes of ex-cons who bought guns before they were convicted and confiscate them, and to homes of people who developed mental health issues AFTER the purchase of guns. There are more, but this would be a good start. But I have no confidence whatsoever that republicans would go along with any of these proposals.

Democrats control the house, the senate and the presidency.
Why don’t they ban assault weapons again?
Because they would get demolished by voters.
The United States is a representative democracy. If you don’t like it here there are plenty of countries that aren’t. I encourage you to go give them a whiff.

Ya gotta tell the whole story. Hutchinson's comment was regarding the Parkland shooting & he further said...
There are exceptions, Mr. Hutchinson said, as when a crossing guard who is specifically assigned to protect children traveling across a street allows a child to get run over while, say, the guard is being distracted by a smartphone. The crossing guard is in a “special relationship” with the children, in legal eyes.
When an officer has a “special relationship” with people, or acts to “enhance the risk” of harm, the officer can be liable for any resulting injury under state negligence laws, Mr. Hutchinson said.
This is likely how Judge Henning found that Mr. Peterson did have a duty to protect those inside the school and refused to dismiss the negligence lawsuit filed by Andrew Pollack, whose daughter Meadow was killed.
The county lawsuit argued that Mr. Peterson had a “special relationship” with students and staff members at the school because he was specifically assigned to offer them protection.

You guys should attempt to become politicians in the US. You can run on the platform of taking guns away from law abiding citizens. Then, after you lose in a landslide, you can come back and post about it here.
You are most often very wrong on your election predictions, especially in those predicting landslides.

fair
automatic delay of one month before purchase is complete and get ownership of a firearm ,and then only when the new owner shows proof from an accredited firearms training agency that the new owner and anyone who will have access to that weapon has successfully completed the course
if owner or listed family member who will have access ever uses that gun in commission of a felony mandatory minimum 15 years prison without parole over and above other crimes or a death result

"Does anyone in the general public really need an assault weapon? I know everyone has a right to own one but perhaps we can start there. These weapons are killing machines."
The original definition of "assault weapon" would require it to be an automatic, ie machine gun, which an AR is not. It's semi- auto, like most handguns. Can it hold a lot of rounds? Yes, I have 30 round mags for mine.........but I also have a handgun that holds 19+1. All that being said, none of my guns have ever gotten up on their own & fired a round by itself. By themselves, they are not killing machines. There are some evil/sick people in this world. I doubt we'll ever be able to eradicate them.
Does anyone in the general public really need a 150mph sports car?
