What did you do to get in the box?

I questioned a cappers record keeping and i get sent to the box.  I always understand why i get sent to the box, when am in the politics forum but to get sent here for calling out a poster for not being honest about his record keeping, is wrong.  One of the first rules any successful gambler will tell you, is keep a record so if you know if your winning or losing.

I guess gamblers here think a guy who bets 10 units on 2 games and win them both but bets 40 units on another play that loses, is winning.  Sure the guy is hitting 60 percent, but is he winning money?  FUCK NO.

Thanks WMI, i actually thought you were gonna be here also since they deleted your post, which makes zero sense. First time being in the box and i dont know why. Every other time i know why.  The post i wanted posted but got deleted is " I said people that keep saying they are posting plays to help people is BS. Your not helping people your just sharing your opinion, cause your picks can win or lose.  So until you know the final scores, any posters picks are just guesses. When a person goes to a soup kitchen and helps, thats helping people because there is a positive outcome.  People dont understand the true definition of helping.  Huge difference and i see it all over the internet. Give me the final score then you can call it helping.

In line with what you are bringing up. I've experienced similar. I didn't have an attack about it. Just another example of this place.....

I had a thread with a few posts moved from GD to the Penalty Box a while back. Whatever keyboard moron decided this needed to be done they had their reasons/motivations. My last of the few posts in that thread involved a pretty gut wrenching story w/video of MLB HOF player Ryne Sandberg literally finding out fairly shortly before joining a "radio telethon" to fight cancer that he was just told the cancer he was battling had gone into remission. He was unexpectedly very emotional and the others from the radio station were also. Quite the moment and reality check. The thread was immediately moved after that post was made.

Who knows why these decisions are made. Or, if there's any oversight. Hope that particular person(s) enjoyed their moment of power.

I'll state it again - posters who reveal the real records of frauds who regularly cheat on their record and lines serve a very valuable service to the members of this forum who can't 'cap themselves and look to tail others.

When I point these things out I stick to facts. I don't resort to name calling. Saying someone who cheats on an almost daily basis is a "serial cheater" isn't name calling, and pointing out someone is a "pathological liar" when he denies things copied and pasted from his own threads isn't name calling, it's just stating a fact.

Same as pointing out someone is delusional when they play the "I don't know why everyone is always picking on me" victim card when they know damn well because regulars here have been pointing it out over and over, year after year.

I don't get into back and forth drama with them because 99% of the time I don't even see replies from them or their fanboyz (many are aliases anyway so why bother with them.) I add a post, offer facts and numbers to back them up, and I'm done with it. I have no interest in engaging with them, which is why I never address them directly (they're beneath me), I address my posts to the forum members I'm trying to help.

I'm altruistic by nature. I've been writing magazine and web columns to help bettors for many years, with picks/analysis, how-to-handicap stuff, money management tips, and exposing frauds - touts and posters. I do it because it's a gift to get paid to do something you enjoy (especially when it's a hobby like writing, and not your chosen career) and because I genuinely loathe cheaters and liars, like the insecure, lifeless gimps (okay, THAT was name calling, but also fact) who come here with the sole purpose of trying to deceive forum members to gain attention and worthless respect from strangers on the internet.

Your right    Everytime i know why i get boxed, but this time i was clueless.  Been gambling for 45 years and was meant to help younger bettors know that records are important and if a poster isnt keeping records or keeping bullshit ones, thats a poster you shouldnt be following.  Guy was bragging about hitting 61 percent, but that means jack shit without knowing units.

Veritas, excellent fucking post.  What you wrote is exactly what i was doing.  After 45 years of doing this shit(wish i never started) i have learned a few things and i can spot all the bullshitters.  I didnt name call at all.  I only attacked how he keeps a record.  You cant brag about hitting 61 percent, without showing units won and lost.  If i go 2-1 am hitting 66.67 percent.  If the 2 winners are for 1 unit and the loser is for 3 units. AM I WINNING MONEY?  Thats the kind of bullshit i hate seeing.

Also i have no idea how posters who make a zillion picks everyday in every sport, plus prop bets get people to follow.  You would need teams of people to cap that much stuff daily.  Its comical.

In fact i tell young bettors are run into, quit now while your young and just invest your money, cause your never gonna get rich from gambling, unless you happen to be one of the 3-5 percent of bettors who actually win.   I dont think theres any gamblers on the fortune 25,000 list loll.    And they dont tear down billion dollar casinos to spend many more billions on newer ones because they are losing
