True story.

2 weekends ago I went to Madison for a fishing show with a buddy. Spent $177 on lures and other stuff.

On the way back home my buddy veered off the highway in Rockford, and we ended up at the new Hard Rock Casino. 

He ran over a bottle of goldschlager in the parking lot. This was a sign, good or bad I didn't know.

He is a terrible gambler, slot machine button pushing addict. I tried to give him some tips on this n that, but he wouldn't listen. 

I stuck to blackjack. After the first 15 minutes I'm up $30. I get him to quit pumping $ into machines and come with to the bar. Played more black jack at the bar, won $50 or so. I tell him it's time to get up, stick n move.

We split up eventually and meet back up. I'm up $140 or something, he's down $300.

By the time we called it, I won $180. +$3 for the day after spending at the fishing show.

He kept asking me how I'm "ok with winning just a little at a time".

I said that I'm not greedy. I have a plan for the game of blackjack. It's the only game I play. Know when to get up, whether it's a feeling, or after a good streak of cards.

Don't let the Casino suck you in. They want you there as long as possible. 

Before dropping me off, we stopped at a bar near my house. I paid for his beers and dinner.
