Bookie Not paying......??????

Fellas,

A dear friend of mine is owed $24,000 from his bookie for last weeks action......He lives in Florida and bets with a local down their.....He called me this am and said guy was supposed to pay him yesterday......and he never did....not one penny......but his guy said he was waiting for something to clear from the bank and he wont get it until today......My buddy is insanely worried that the guy wont pay......He has always pai before but moslty a few nickles here and their and maybe some dimes to pay out.....But never this kind of paper......I tell him to be patient cuz it is a lot of dough, and does take time......But WTF??

What should he do if the guy dont pay him?? I mean its not like you can go to the cops right?? lol......I'd say a good ol fashion ass kicking is in right??

But violence aside what should he do???

tell your friend to get in line with the rest of us that have been stiffed by scumbags.

Let us know what happens but you can pretty much chalk that up as an almost..

Personally (and my violent days are well behind me or this answer would be much different) I wouldn't whoop him up or you might never get anything-- not to mention is kicking anyone's ass worth losing 24K?  Just tell your buddy to offer the bookie a payment plan-- like 6k a week for 4 weeks... or 4k a week for 6 weeks-- then if your buddy ever gets in a jam with the book he has leverage on making timely payments back-

If this does not work, then destroy his credibility-

My local has owed me over 28,000 for a long time...beat him up in bball and bases.  He didnt have many players he told me to wait til fball.  Now that football is here he still slow pays.  He claims he owed hundreds of thousands and he's having trouble playing.  What really bothers me is that I know his bookie who is HUGE around here (he wont let me play w him...lol)...and He tells me the kind of figures that my bookie gambles with him every week.  So basically this fker is playing with my money! 

Why do people even ask this question to begin with

What opinion do they want to hear?

You do know that booking with a local is illegal correct?

You do know that this is the chance you take correct?

What would you like to hear from everyone?

tep ive heard of that but never hear of anyone really getting those debts sold.
