Watching liberals talk about facing consequences for freedom of speech is interesting considering their argument for the NFL not being able to punish people for kneeling during the national anthem was "freedom of speech". And this isn't even on NFL company time, it was when he was on his private time with his personal email. Liberals are weird.

The Supreme Court limits the protections of the 1st Amendment. Threats, incitement, civil disobedience, and harassment just to name few.  That is a government action. Private enterprise can further restrict the 1st Amendment as long as it is a written or understood policy.

You do realize that football is basically athletic cosplay.   Grown men putting on pads and helmets and going onto a field every Sunday to be cheered on by fans.   Not much different than a bunch of grown men putting on homemade costumes, styrofoam swords and cardboard shields LARPing in a field on a Sunday to be cheered on by their moms and friends.  

They are portrayed as 'modern day gladiators' when in fact they are just throwing and chasing a ball around playing a kids game.  Just with millions of dollars and concussions as a reward.
