@montepire Thanks , so what did Disney do to through their hat in the political arena?? I don't understand are they making movies or something about sex or lgbtiq ? I have bo idea what's going on , just saw videos on social media of people burning Disney items they already purchased.

It's one of those thing where nobody is teaching kids in Florida grades K-3 Sex Ed/LBGQT stuff. But Florida is making sure nobody will. Since nobody is doing it. Make sense? Reminds me of years ago when my town wanted to make it illegal to open a porn shop. There were no porn shops, there were no plans for porn shops, and porn shops pretty much have gone away for a few decades. But someone needed to make sure the thing that wasn't happening didn't happen. Now the wording seems to be the issue though... after stating it can't be classroom instructed in grade K-3 they add "or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards" The actual language makes it that any school age can be targeted, so if they deem that a 18 year old Senior in HS is not 'age appropriate' they can go after the teacher/school/etc...

no....as mentioned earlier there have been teachers in districts across the state who had been going over this type of material in class.......they take it upon themselves to teach what they want, its what they personally believe, and that is ok......however there were tons of complaints to school boards etc by parents concerned that kids that young should not be hearing that stuff and the complaints grew louder and legislation was enacted.....was it a widespread problem, not where i live, but to say it was an answer to a non existent problem is inaccurate also.......
