Chicago is the only city in Illinois to operate automatic speed cameras, and when they were programmed to be less tolerant in March 2021, revenues soared. According to an original investigation by the Illinois Policy Institute, when Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot decreased the cameras’ ticket-issuing threshold to 6 mph from 10 mph, so many tickets were issued that the first 10 months of 2021 tallied as many tickets as were issued in the three prior years combined. Chicago speed cameras issued 2.3 million tickets in that period, about a ticket every 11 seconds.

 Those speed cameras are private entities, every ticket doesn't go against your driving record. They are only there for the money. Chicago is a horrible city, and the state of Illinois sucks balls.

The state got 1.36 billion in recreational Marijuana sales year last year, all taxed. 362 million in medicinal Marijuana. 

In the month of October, 840 million in legal gambling. 

And the state is still crying broke.

The president of the Central Illinois Bass Masters association sent out an email to every Bass club in Illinois, and other organized Bass leagues that the state just proposed a bill to collect 10% revenue from every fishing tournament in Illinois moving forward. People are signing a petition to stop it, but we know how that goes in this state.

These fuckers are trying to get their hand in every cookie jar that there is.

take a look at the general fund for illinois. over the course of one year, $104M tax dollars have gone into it. no one actually knows where the spending goes to and they are not obiligated to release those numbers either. in other words, that is illinois politician's personal wallet

Other than us shutting down sports and capacity at arenas and stadiums.....life is good here in Canada....I can pick you both up at the border and we can start your new life .....LMK

 They are very progressive. Never seen it done, but if it aids in mental health, you're probably good to go. Might be considered littering so bring clean up gear.

Cake and I'm serious about this. The USA ranks first in hours worked per employee but below average in productivity. There is this crazy attitude that the guy who works the most hours a day makes the most money and the corporate shits laugh all the way to the bank. Throughout my whole life I always knew I could be just as productive in 4 hours as some would be in 8. The 40 hour work week is an anachronism that has no useful purpose in the computer age. My wife gets more done at home working for a bank than she does at the office. My wife is not Finnish but she is Norwegian.
