Biscuit—-I don’t think anyone can disagree with you on the player’s responsibility. But even putting this game aside , I think McCarthy has been a head coach who has been widely viewed as inferior for some time. We may have seen why today. No matter what, he bears some responsibility for not having this team ready. They are loaded with talent.

I'm one and probably the only one who thinks that in the pro's the rah rah stuff maybe good for tv and having fun but is mainly meaningless. Whats a HC to do after 18 games and heading into a home playoff game to get them ready. I guess some rousing words could not hurt but i doubt anything he did (short of game plan) could have made a difference. I also had the god damn U.

They ran him out of Green Bay because he was missing practices and getting massages instead. His priorities were messed up.

My money would be on Quinn, though Jerry knows his time here is limited (very) so he could go off script.

I don’t need the rah rah stuff, but this guy is a coach who has had some really good personnel with the Cowboys and Packers with little to show for it. As a fan, Hugh favors Vrabel or Harbaugh. I don’t root for any team, and I like both of those guys, but I sure would love to see Harbaugh. The list of coaches who have enjoyed success in the college and pro games is a short one. I think Harbaugh has matured. And, he is a proven commodity. National champion in college and 44-19-1 with SF, including a Super Bowl appearance. A lot of people hate him so he is probably a good fit for the Boys. ??

He’s a narcissistic idiot. See the firing of Jimmy Johnson and the hiring of Barry Switzer. The cupboard was full. Switzer got one Super Bowl and then he lost his priorities as well.

All fair brother Ken, and here's to hoping and hoping our Harbaugh does nothing to impede the Ravens.

I'll say this, when they do the interviews surely the main question will be what are you going to do different than McC to get us over the hump? and whoever provides the best answer has the job.
