Exactly. Kyle Shanahan is 39-42 in 5 years with SF. McDaniel was the run game coordinator for 4 years, the OC for only 1 year which was 2021. SF was 13th in offensive scoring at 25.1 ppg.

Is this all it takes to get hired as a HC these days. I mean he could be good, might be the best thing since sliced bread, who knows?

It's going to take a lot more intangibles and character to run the whole staff as a HC. Maybe he can do it. But from my peripherals, he doesn't look the part. We'll see.

I got a tickle in my belly about the Bears new HC Eberflus. Now, they are in no doubt in the infancy of their rebuild, but you can notice that they are buttoned up. Think the guy runs a tight ship, only 2 penalties in 2 preseason games. The preseason is to get all the dumb ass mistakes and penalties out of the way usually. Or at least that's what they say right.

If I have to hang my hat on anything about this team, that would be it.

Roquon held out for like 2 weeks, he's back in practice. Montgomery is a solid nfl rb. The Bears probably won't be walked over, their games could be a grind.

 Let me just give you a temperature of how everyone feels about the Bears season this year. Every year my buds and I do a pool on how many games they will win. Last year I picked 6, the other 8 guys picked 9 or higher.

This year not one of those ass clowns picked higher than 6. Two guys said 6, three guys said 5, three said 4.

I naturally picked last and said 7 without hesitation, the price is right style.

 i hammered the bears under last season. gun to my head, would take the over this year. they cannot possibly be any worse than they were last year with all the toxic culture surrounding them. they always get a win or two they don't really deserve, usually in the winter when a team doesnt want to be there.

No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

I won't bet it, but the Over has value simply from a contrarian viewpoint.

My favorite DOGS for week 1 

Steelers +6.5 ...Think this comes down to the wire ..Fading SB losers week 1 is often a winner 

NY GIANTS  +5.5.  Im in at +6.5 , 2 teams heading in opposite directions ...

Vikings +2.   Packers could be the most overrated squad in the league...Vikings new passing game could give them fits 

Falcons +5.   Could be a barking dog most of the season ..Decent weapons on offense ...Are the Saints worthy of laying more than a FG on the road?
