Damn sac, unfortunately I don't have as good as an offer, like these guys, but you could consider your native Polska, no way you will encounter the same problems there, as you do know in Chicago, nor would you encounter them, where I am at either.
One caveat though, it's a bad place to be a woman, in Polska, so you can think of it like Texas, with not such a punishing winter, as Illinois...

We are the shame of Europe, when it comes to Covid, 2nd to last because Bulgaria is somehow even worse, than us. In the EU, out of the 27 member states, the last places are always occupied by us and Bulgaria. Communism left deep scars, on our societies, our politicians are major league thieves, corruption is hard to root out, when you don't have an independent Judicial system. Somehow Polska is even worse, they are in danger on infringement, by the EU, for some shady judicial stuff they keep trying there, hence the abortion problem for the women.
Unfortunately, the Covid situation was predictable, every expert sounded the alarm in the summer, that we would have a brutal autumn, if the vaccination numbers wouldn't pick off, since we were just at 30% vaccinated population, but the politicians didn't act, they were busy fighting over power and money. From the middle of September we are going through the 4th Covid wave here, October has been a carnage, our medical system almost collapsing, yet the people are too stupid still, to get vaccinated. This is what you get, in the places were there is a severe lack of proper education, as you may already know from what has happened in the US. Fe in our education system there is a 42% rate of functional illiteracy, which means society as a whole is at least at 50%, thus the 35% vaccination rate makes perfect sense.
Anyway, I'm vaccinated, my whole family members are, the rest can perish, like a bunch of morons they are...
