I'm particularly fond of the Lions this week after digging into the matchup. I could write a bunch, but tight on time. The most shocking thing about the Giant's fraudulent tendencies is this...Their average t.o.p. per game, with a lead is 8:16. 25th in the league. How they are 7-2 is amazing.

I am as calm as a well fed man, sitting in his rocking chair on the porch of his house, watching the moonlight twinkle off the placid waters of the nearby lake, spring breeze slightly wafting through the air, with frogs croaking over yonder.
Yes, my friend, such a level of calmness can only come about through a quiet, but deep confidence in the events about to unfold.
How bout this, Mr Brow ...
If the Vikes should get enough assistance from the refs to actually win this game, I will change my avatar to something of your approval.
If (when) the Boys win, you get to write the CD Newsletter within the next week or 2, and you have to respond to everything I post within it.

Since the Bears don't have a sack from the DE position since trading Robert Quinn, they signed Taco Charlton from the Saints practice squad. Hugh and BigD, tell me what happened to this dude. Wasn't he a former 1st rd pick of the Cowboys?
He was a 1 year starter at Michigan, and projected by most as a 3rd round project. Questionable motor and work ethic. Cowboys got talked into taking him in the late 1st round by former D-line coach Rod Marinelli, who loved his potential. The kid was a bust from his first preseason game. He lacks instincts, smarts, desire, and the aforementioned motor and work ethic. Arguably the worst draft pick for Dallas in the last few decades.

@Hugh_Jorgan
He did get some local endorsement deals. I was living in Dallas at the time.
Being named Taco in the Tex/Mex capital of the world has some benefits.

I kind of remember him now that you mentioned it. I think the Bears are just throwing shit at the wall for now to see if anything sticks. The draft and off season free agents is when the real work needs to be done.
There is one potential bright side, and they must of had this dude up their sleeve when trading Roquon. I'm speaking of undrafted rookie LB Jack Sanborn. He played for the Badgers.
In his first start vs Miami, 7 tackles. Vs the Lions last week he had 12 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 qb hits, and an interception that was nullified by a bunk penalty call far away from the play. Now that's a game. I'm interested to see if he can be consistent the rest of the year.

My guy in Buffalo says they are talking about moving the game to 4pm or potentially Monday. Snow forecast now in the 3-6 foot range, ending around scheduled kickoff time. Main issue is not having enough equipment to get snow out of the stadium

Anyone else betting on the fighting Mora Jr.'s this weekend vs. Army?
ODB and I were discussing this yesterday... I like UConn as they are riding in on a high and will keep playing even though they are going to a Bowl. Army been crappy lately, but UConn hasn't seen the option this year and these 2 played last year and it was an Army blowout

@BWS77
Mora got that kid Zion to leave his south florida home not far from where I live, and shun all sorts of power 5 full rides, to go to UConn lololol,,,,......
Zion played not far from me at St Thomas Aquinas.
What does a coach say to get a kid to go to a team like UConn, instead of.....well.......anywhere else?!?!?!? I would guess it would be some version of "You can start right away.....no competition....no redshirt......we will build the offense around you....and if we are good think of the press it will get considering UConn football sucks and UConn is a basketball school.......are you ready to bet on yourself kid?!?!"
That is impressive. Now they're bowl eligible. Pretty amazing. Mora could sell ice to an eskimo.
I would guess generationally that we are past the ages where a high school recruit would even know that Jim Mora's Dad is the guy that said "Playoffs?!?!?!? Playoffs?!?!?!!?"

Unlimited white girls and unlimited Dunkin Donuts. That's how you recruit to UConn

I like it! I’m in.
I think I posted this before. I’m going to Seattle to see my dad. On the way home, I’m stopping in Minnesota for the Vikings/Pats game turkey night.
