On Sunday when the Bears kick off vs the Buccaneers, it'll have been 327 days since they won a football game

Here's an interesting trend from last year. The Giants(Brian Dabol era), after a loss, went:

7-0 ats, with a cover margin of 8.1 points.

I had to investigate, since I figured that they were mostly dogs in this situation after a loss.

In 3 out of the 7 games, they were favored. As you can assume, all 3 teams were shitty. The Bears, Texans, and Colts. But, they covered these games with margin as a favorite. +5 vs Bears, +3.5 vs the Texans, and +22.5 vs the Colts.

That gives them a 3-0 ats record, as a fav, following a loss, with a +10.33 avg ats margin.

The Cardinals are "shitty".

Any reason to be scared of the Giants ats this week?

I don't think that these are just random #'s, it has to be a reflection of Dabol and how he responds after a loss. Or more importantly how he responds to his players after an ass kicking. Last week was a true ass whooping.

Justin Jefferson has surpassed all Bears WR's in career yards. He's 24 years old. The Bears became a team in 1920

 

Kirk Cousins stat line vs the Eagles:

31/44, 364, 4 TD, 0 INT.

And he did it with his RB's only gaining 28 yards on the ground. 

And just to think, if Justin Jefferson doesn't fumble into the end zone for a touch back in the 1H, they'd surely be at the one, and most likely score. Vikings win by 1 point?

What happened to the vaunted Eagles D? Everyone had them as the best team in the nfc, and a repeat SB trip was inevitable. 

They're luck rating will be horrible after their first 2 games of the year. They are a fade team week 3, let's look at it soon and maybe jump on a look ahead line.

Sumbitch, the Eagles play at TB week 3. MNF. They'll be on 11 days rest. Best hope would be that the Bears beat TB this week. We'll get line value.

Everyone was sh***ing on Staley's gameplan on Defense last week, including myself. When the Chargers played the Dolphins last year, they implemented zone coverage against Tua and doubled up on Hill. They played short-handed, and still handled the Dolphins on their way to a victory. No idea why they went man coverage last week, and typically with no safety overtop. I still need to watch the game on television. I'm only going by what I saw at the game.

But peep this, according to TruMedia & PFF, the Chargers had the 2nd fastest average time in getting to the QB last week. It's just that Tua was excellent in getting the ball out of his hand quickly. (Credit Mike McDaniel here.) It helps when you have one of the fastest WRs looking to go midfield in such a quick time. 

Anyway, I bring this up, because Moore & Herbert can throw against the Titans secondary, especially with the injuries they are facing. Can they run against that D-line? I don't know, but the Chargers had the best rushing offense last week. (Thanks to the power blocking scheme the Oline has shifted to this year.)

Something will have to give, and I think the Chargers needed to know they can establish the run. They used Game 1 to do this. Last year the team ranked near the bottom in rushing offense, so if only one game can help to dispel any forthcoming issues in the run game, last week's game kind of does that. (Do note that Ekeler might not play this Sunday, but Kelley has looked good all pre-season, and last week. The Chargers also had Spiller and Dotson as RB3 and RB4 looking really good. Dotson is an UDFA, and the team decided to carry 4 RBs so they can add Dotson to the roster at the risk of exposing him to practice squad poaching.)

Anyway, just some insight based on last week. GL on this bet. I certainly see this covering, but I have to first remove any bias and also see what's going on with the Titans' side of the ball this week. (Hooker and Fultan might not play.)
