There's 2 games I'm tailing today -- Bengals and Broncos ATS. Not sure why I talked myself into thinking they know something about the. Broncos that I don't.
Burrows defense gifting him an interception only to lose it to a fumble six.
That interception was amazing tho.

Hugh, Shrimp, and myself have to come to the realization that our favorite teams suck. One thing they all have in common : Previously successful veteran coaches (all have a SB ring) who do the same things that made them win in the past, refuse to innovate, and can't see the forest because of the trees.

Bucky Brooks, a wonderful former NFL player who works with Daniel Jeremiah was on the Jaguars radio network today and said " I'd love to be a defensive back playing the Jaguars right now. Everything stays in front of me and I don't have to worry about being challenged downfield."
Host JP Shadrick " Is it a personnel issue?'
Brooks "No, an offensive design issue. They have a QB who can throw a mile and 2 receivers who who can fly, but they're running predictable shortened routes."

Sac - What is going on with your Bears tonight? Everyone is on the Texans-6.5, ML I might the trigger on the Bears tonight.. Could this be like the Ravens , Cowboys , Browns , Rams , 49ers
If you want to trust a rookie qb in his first road game, go ahead. I wouldn't.

The Chiefs remain champions of the win but don't cover game. The books have to love it. People hate the Chiefs cause they win so much. And it's human nature to hate winners this day in age. And the people hate them cause you can't win $ by betting on them.

I'm siding with the books , just following the money , not Caleb

We should play a weekly treble: Nix, Young and Richardson to throw and INT, all of them had at least 1 INT in the first 2 weeks. It feels like the Bengals gave this one away, with some stupid plays.
The Bengals were the better team for one game but the Chiefs won anyways. Andy Reid is one of the few veteran coaches who embraces change.

What a brainfart Chase, stfu dude. @iConsciousness I think sac called it, Nix is just atrocious, he can't pass for shit, when it matters. Lately I've been listening to something, you can make it your soundtrack, the name is fitting, I'll give you 2 versions to choose from:
Yeah, Nix definitely is bad. He looked good during the preseason. I think Payton isn't all that great as a HC, either.
Thanks for the tunes. Funny enough, I don't really like my username. I signed up thinking I'd be a lurker and had to think of something real quick. lol

This.
But the Chiefs always seem to be the recipient of a timely penalty that benefits them. The 4th & 16 PI might've been the right call, but a lot of times they're questionable.

Personally I'm surprised the Bears/Texans total is stuck on 45. It seems the total is lower than expected. The Texans don't fool around on offense and the Bears have enough to keep pace if "all goes well" I'll play the Over 45. Cyrax regular play (not a special).

He does, I mean realistically he wouldn't have won so many SB if he hadn't.
But the Bengals made some stupid plays: Burrow fumbling, Chase arguing with the ref and getting a 15 yards penalty, and on 4th and a mile, for KC, that guy jumped the gun and drew a flag, for pass interference, rightly thrown.
As good as the Chiefs are, sometimes they are also lucky, and you can't buy luck...
@iConsciousness
Only his 2nd season in Denver, but his best coaching days are probably behind him.
I'm fascinated by consciousness, the songs are just brain candy.

I questioned it as well in real time, but replay showed it to be an obvious call. The officials got that one right. If the DB didn't climb his back it would have been complete for a 1st down anyways.

My initial instinct is other than the Bears having a great defense, why wouldn't the Skowik-les offense not cover by a touchdown here? Bears receivers are gimpy at the moment.
But I'm talking myself out of it based on a lot of "sharp" plays on the Bears by the respectable cappers on Covers.
Still might make a play, though, and I agree with your line of reasoning on Caleb.

@undermysac His jitters are done with, he said he would make improvements from a lack luster opening day and the short line seems to think he might be right
Short line? What do you think the spread should be?
Either people think that the Texans are a lot better than they are, or people still think that this is the 2023 Bears.
Fwiw about Caleb, all of his praise has been fluff. A lot of people thought that he was lights out in the pre season. While on a sports show on TV, 2 ex players were pumping him up about his pre season passing and accuracy. Bill Belichick was on and said "hold on, he wasn't accurate he went 20 for 40."
If you want to believe Caleb go right ahead. I'm sure that if he said that he made improvements then he must of. He's the #1 overall pick and bound to be great.

The Bears D is the real deal. Best secondary in the nfl. I said it enough all off season. I've been wrong plenty though.
Good luck

Yeah, same. The DB got there a finger pinch too early. I watch a lot of AFC West games and it just seems like they get these breaks; even with the questionable calls. But you gotta give it up to Mahomes. On 4th and 16, and the game on the line, throw it to a crowd and see if you can get that PI. Manning and Carr used to do this a lot.
