Random thoughts;
On behalf of the NFL, I apologize to anyone who watched the ATL-NYG game. The Giants have not had a winning record for 5 years, not at any single point in that span. That's hard to do. Kudos to them.
Chargers are legit contenders for the SB. Mike Williams is a stud and a mismatch for every team in the NFL. Keenan Allen remains the best route runner, and Ekeler the most underappreciated all purpose back. Herbert is already one of the 5 best QB's. This kid is very special ... like HOF special.
KC defense is getting worse ... didn't think it was possible, but apparently it is.
Raise your hand if you had the WFT defense as being one of the worst in the NFL
J Fields is not ready to be an NFL QB ... and honestly, I'm not sure he ever will be. Obviously gotta give him a couple of years, hopefully without Nagy and get him at least two O-lineman who can block, but I sense that Fields parlayed a great game against Clemson into higher expectations than were warranted.
As has been said numerous times, Big Ben is shot, and the Steelers O-line is atrocious. Stupid of Pitt drafting a RB with their 1st rounder when O-Line help was still available. Steelers will finish with a losing record.
Saints D is so good. They man handled the Pats O-line, and seemed like every receiver was double covered. Pats need to open the playbook just a little for the kid. Let Mac cook.
The Lions, one of the worst franchises in modern sports history won a game yesterday ... only to have it taken away by the refs. Sometimes judgement calls go against you, other times you get screwed by a blatant hose job. Some teams are just lucky to have the refs on their side ... just move on knowing that you lost to the Lions ... the Detroit Fucking Lions!!!
Carson Wentz still stinks
Cards have the softest 3-0 start in recent memory. They will still finish in last place in their division
The Jets are the Jets. Denver was not going to lose that game. It would be like losing to the Lions
The Rams are for real. The Bucs D is not.
ARod ... all that chatter about his off season and preseason distractions is suddenly gone. That was so predictable.
Lastly, The incessant noise has already begun ... Brady vs Belichick. Its gonna get real old real fast listening to this over hyped game. I have not looked at lines yet, but I guess Bucs by 7?

so i just take my first look at tonight's number fully expecting it to have hit 4 at a couple shops, yet it has held steady with no sign of movement. hmmn

@Biscuiteater1
I don't know if this is accurate, but i read in the mains that Dallas is favored by 5 next week against a 3-0 Carolina team, yet they are only favored by 3.5 tonight.
Makes ya wonder

Week 4 trap line of the week...
Browns-1(opener) @ Minnesota
It's now Browns-1.5(-117), there will be $ piling on the Browns from now till Sunday, till it hits 3, and people will still bet it.
Just my opinion.
Here we go Brownies here we go, woof woof

The Bears look ahead was -6 vs Detroit, it's down to -3 and heading towards-2.5, it reminds me of the line they had vs the Bengals in week 2, minus all that line value.
Get smoked by a great Rams team week 1, beat a better than anyone thought Bengals week 2, get smoked by a really good Browns team week 3.
Interesting tidbit, the Bears entire schedule this year goes H,@,H,@...just thinking we could get on the right zig zag pattern with them.
If they have any pride, it should show next week vs the Lions. After that it's a gauntlet of hell.

Anyone who bets on Justin Fields at this juncture is fighting an uphill battle. He may one day be a decent QB, but that day isn't today

@Hugh_Jorgan
He probably won't start imo, Foles if Dalton is still hurt.
Word is all 3 guys are options to start, this coming from the Bears.
Fields was 1 for 7 passing with 2.5 or more seconds to throw.

To me(trap line) is 0-3 Indy getting a dollar and a half hot dog (+1.5) at Miami. I know the beaten and battered Colts have been given up for dead but the oddsmakers don't think so. After beating the Patriots and taking Vegas to OT I don't know what average Joe wouldn't bet the Dolphins at a pickem type number.

Jax +7.5 at Cinci on Thursday night. Seems fair but I'm sure everyone is bailing on the Jaguars and believing in the Bengals. Might be too soon to play the Jags but I wouldn't touch Cinci laying that number.
Today Jax traded 2020 top 10 overall pick CJ Henderson for a bag of peanuts to the Panthers. Their other 1st round pick from that year (Chiasson) has all but the "T" left to finalize "BUST". Jacksonville's inability to evaluate talent over the past 10 drafts is unsurpassed. I do believe that cutting down the trees that don't bear fruit is probably a step in the right direction.

@undermysac
Divisional game ... Cowboys off emotional game on the west coast ... those factors keep the game reasonably close.
Dallas is still at least 6 points better at home

Mike McCarthy is doing his best to derail the Cowboys season with his clock management.
The Center Tyler Biadasz has struggled all season. He is the only weak link on the offense.
