The talking heads are already calling for Pickett. To me, its only a matter of time. This offense is anemic behind Mitch and much like what happened in SD with Herbert, albeit different circumstances, they have to be thinking a new and younger QB at the helm could breath some new life into a team that still thinks this division is up for grabs. If it is Pickett heavy lean to the points
Ravens at Pats +3 (43)
Bill will no doubt control clock here. I know thats no revelation since thats what he wants to do every game but you can't let Balty do what was done to them by Miami. Is Dobbins back? Gus? I have no initial read on this game as every Pats game I simply gloss over since they are so boring.
Bengals at Jets +4.5 (45)
Total seems extremely low for a Bengals team itching to break out. If Brisket can move the ball at will against the Jets, I have little doubt Burrow finally puts together a 300 yard 3 TD+ game assuming he stays upright. And thats a big assumption. He's taken at least 3 sacks a game in something like 9 straight games going back to last year. Still lean heavy Cincy here. Jets should feel pretty fat and happy after that amazing comeback win on Sunday.
Saints at Panthers +3 (40.5)
Should be another ugly one much like the TNF game. Impressed with Nola's D so far but will it travel outside the Superdome against Baker and CMC? Prolly. Carolina's D should be just good enough to limit Crab Boy in this one. Will we see any more Taysom? A good mix of him and Crab Legs seems to work in there favor yet we saw very little of him Sunday. Maybe its situational and without Kamara they figured their best chance was through the air. However Crab Legs with 3 picks is what you get when you put the ball in his hands for 60 min. Lean to Carolina to get there first win here.
more coming as I don't know when covers will cut me off...........

Initially loved the Colts in this spot ( as mentioned earlier ) but my god the Colts looked abysmal Sunday and I dont know if the Chefs are the kind of team to "get right" with. Colts should be much healthier this go around but they are missing Shaq Leonard like blood. Matty Ice looked all of 37 years old Sunday and it took 3 quarters to get Jonathan Taylor Thomas finally cooking. Should establish him and Hines early and often and take your chances with the Possession game in order to have a chance. I'll let the public drive up this number before making any bets. Still lean Indy just not as much.
Texans at Bears -2.5 (40.5)
Lots of ugly ass games this week it seems. Texans, where they lack in talent make up for it with heart. They seem to play hard despite their short comings. The Bears will want to take out their frustration of losing to the Packers every year on somebody. When you were a kid and the older bigger dude whooped your ass pretty good the first thing you look for immediately after was someone smaller than you for which to take out your frustration and humiliation. Can see that here. Bears in a close one simply because its the Bears. Mooney goes off.
Jags at Chargers -7 (48)
This will be everyones survivor pick and rightfully so. Jax sitting alone atop the South now get to travel across the country and face a pissed off Chargahs ( in Ahnold voice ) team. Good luck with that. Perfect get right game for them and Pretty boy will need to be perfect to escape with a dub here. I hate laying points in the NFL so this looks like a great Tease down to PK spot game. Or, Chargers oTT game. They should put up plenty of points.
Pack at Buc -2.5 (41)
How are the Bucs 2-0? oh, because the Cows looked like trash in week 1 and the Saints Sainted them a win in game 2. Brady looks, well, different. He looks frustrated. He looks distracted. He looks like he's had enough of trying to remain the GOAT while also dealing with life after Gronk and his marriage falling apart. Now, you take away his favorite red zone target and this screams Packers SU win. You can't convince me otherwise but I'm sure someone will try.
Falcons at Hawks -2 (42)
go fish. 2 bad teams = over. This isn't Seattle in December. Its still September so we "should" get perfect weather.
Rams at Cards +4
Did the Rams finally get back on track? Looked like it for 3 quarters and yet, I flip back and the lowly Falcons have a chance to make it very interesting. Did the "stars" on that defense get old real quick? I mean, we know they basically bought a championship and figured "we'll worry about it later" but is later here? I absolutely hated that Ramsey made that last pick and celebrated like he's the best corner in the league. The dude is trash and has been for a few years now but somehow masks it well. Did the Cards actually win that game or did the Raidahs simply lose it? I think its the latter. no lean here.

actually the game I'm looking forward to the most this weekend. Tons of story lines here. What a blessing they retained Jimmy. I truly wonder if they were secretly relieved he got hurt so they can simply focus on getting back to what makes SF special. Playing suffocating D and tons of run plays mixed with Play Action "safe" passes with Jimmy. Get Kittle back and watch out. This team is a playoff team but nothing more. The Broncos are completely inept in the red zone and it won't get any easier this week. I know they paid Russ a ton of money but much like every bad contract in this league, you are paid for what you did in the past. From the looks of it, they got a bad deal. Russ is special no doubt, but he's only special off script and no one lives forever. With all that weight he put on he simply looks awkward now and this team isn't going anywhere IMO. Should def be a good one to watch after a day of drinking. lean to the Niners.
and finally
Cows at Gigantes -2.5 (39.5)
Always a slobberknocker between these 2 teams. 2-0 Giants vs 1-1 Cows. Wouldn't it be something if the Cows can go in there and win and go 2-0 with Cooper Effing Rush? This defense is legit and we all know Parsons is a game wrecker ( defensive MVP and its not even close, fight me) Who is Daniel Jones gonna throw to? He should be running for his life on Monday. 2 wins against the Panthers and Titans who just showed the world who they really are tonight? At the same time, will the Cows continue to scale back the play book for Rush or let him eat? He had a great half and then not much of anything in the 2nd. Will they finally unleash Pollard or do they not see what the world sees? Very frustrating so I imagine we'll still see a heavy dose of Zeke because the def of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. And thats what its like being a fan of this team. Heavy lean to the under as I see this game ending 17-16 someone.
no line yet for Lions Vikes or Bills Phins

Much respect for our great Brother trainwreck who talked me out of making any more small wagers after the KC/LAC game..Those long odds are so tempting but they were burning profits ..
Strongly recommend passing on betting ATS or game totals ,instead focusing almost solely on player props ..Oddsmakers are often too sharpe , coaches too stupid, and the Refs are often incompetent or shady with the subjective rules that are in place..
Side note the Madden 23 Simulations are 9-5 , and the Point Spread Ratings are 4-1 ( or 4-0-1 if you want to count the Steelers loss a tie +3) ...
On to week 3
Best of health, happiness, blessings and luck to all !!!

Raven/Pat everything i've heard is that if it were up him he'd be playing(Dobbins) that is. You can believe they will have him on a pitch count upon his return but twice last game Ravens failed on 3rd and one when rb's were stuffed so you have to believe that he would help in those kind of situations.

ATS the Giants would be my only early lean ..Cowboys got a lucky win vs seemingly a team wirh a massive sb hangover ( still almost choked it away ) ... Dallas should be great fade in primetime with all the homers lining up to pound "murica's team "...

Great job buddy. This is what makes covers truly great, us who went awol to the PB.
90% of the posters in the mains just simply don't get it. There's a certain way to look at the nfl and we seem to know how to look through that lens.
P.S. I vote for Getty3 to start week 4, or even the muffin man. I'm fishing a 2 day state tournament Saturday and Sunday. Going to the Mississippi River Thursday morning.

Some of the blame for Raven debacle has to be laid at coaching/scheme for instance how defuck you gonna have a STONE COLD corner matched up one on one with Tyreek Hill without any safety help you dont have to be Vince L. to figure that out.
