Speaking about a flat spot . The Vikings getting a 2.5 / 3 @ home against a good Texans team that have had two tough physical games to start the season is something to watch . I know its Darnold but DJ Brow may be all over this

Quick tidbit about the Bears o line. I didn't know this till recently, but apparently the Bears kept one position coach after firing OC Luke Getsy.
Guess who, offensive line coach Chris Morgan. It's his 3rd year with the Bears. Why they didn't let Shane Waldron bring in a guy for his system is beyond me. Also, the Bears gm is an ex nfl offensive lineman. So it's the main talk in town right now how gm Ryan Poles did so well in addressing every position except the oline during this rebuild.
To put into perspective, Lucas Patrick was on the Bears last year. Played guard and center. He was abysmal, scoring in the 50's per pff. This year he's the starting LG for the Saints, and the highest graded guard in the league at 92.6.
Also Bears ex guard James Daniels was cut by the Bears in 2022 when Ryan Poles came in. He is now starting for the Steelers and scoring an 89.8 per pff.
Coaching is damn important in the nfl. And one of the hardest aspects to handicap.

Coaching very undervalued in capping, but coaches play roles even though they are not throwing, catching, running or tackling
Very astute

That Saints line seems very baity...I mean they seem leaps and bounds better than the iggles, but why hang that number out there with them at home...do we see regression from Carr this week? Does the green machine finally play up...that was an embarrassing loss to the Falcons at home...
Looks like Saints could be without Hill and Lattimore
very intriguing game...

If the Saints win this game they will have a lot of eyes on them....I guess I'm always fearful of Carr given that I watched him play in college and with my Raiders and so many times he made bad choices at critical times, but he never really had a running game and O line like he has with the Saints...this could just be the scenario that suits him...no question he gets the ball downfield and he has playmakers so a lot of my disdain is not so much with the Saints, but rather Carr himself and his history with me, and by me, I mean my raider gear and commitment to excellence...

Weeks 1-4 are always a mess . Teams that dominate look like shit when least expected ...you may be right about Hill...Got hurt early

@trainwreck66
Oh yea no doubt the first weeks are tough as nuts....and I'm not knocking the play but this game has my taint tingling and I showered already so it has to be because Carr is involved...the guy tingled my nether region for years with the Raiders so it's hard to move past...we need a QB so bad and if he does well with the saints then it's because the raiders failed him not the other way around...

And ironically Ryan Leaf was talking shit about the Panthers benching Bryce in lieu of dalton...leaf is a putz but it is true, what message are they sending to Bryce by doing this...what, to win a few games this year...

Quote of the Day
“Yeah, I’m interested in coaching. My dad was a college coach, I was a college coach at Pitt, my wife was a cheerleader at Tennessee when I met her. Hell yeah, I’m interested in coaching. I know I can help a team, I know I can help young players get better, and I know I can hire a good staff, and that’s the only thing I can guarantee. But yeah, I’m very interested in coaching at any level, period.”
Former NFL coach Jon Gruden. Compliments of Armadillo Sports. Tigers, WOAH!!

I agree with you. I've been promoting my opinion with friends and this forum about this very problem. Maybe don't draft these rookie qb's so high. Teams are wasting draft capital and money on guys who rarely are ready to "win now". Just look how bad of a place the Panthers are in.
If I'm a gm, I'm building my team with core positional players if I have high draft picks. Do it like fantasy football players do.
