For anyone who is falling for the BS that some of the talking heads are spewing about Cooper Rush being a better QB than Dak ...

During the 4 game win streak the Cowboys offense is:

2nd worst at reaching the RZ

4th worst on 3rd downs

Over the last 4 weeks 3 & out %: 10% 27% 46% 60%

TD rate: 20% 18% 15% 10%

71% of the scoring have been FGs highest in the NFL

The Cowboys offense is not good. Yanno what is good? .....

Contrary to what my BFF bigred says, the Dallas defense is solid on all 3 levels. Their pass rush is elite, their LBers good, the Safeties have been incredible, and their CB's have been excellent. Through 5 games no team has scored more than one TD in a game against them. Only SF & Buff have given up fewer points.

 True they are better than I thought....Barr was a huge upgrade....

Truth  be known you could put 10 drunks with Parsons and be decent...

Point Spread ratings suggested plays are 3.17  + points off of actual line ..( 11-4 YTD)

While it's difficult for me to back teams coming home from across the pond this looks like too many points...Never thought Bateman's availability would be a big concern , but if you're backing either team I'd wait to see what his status is Sunday ...

BENGALS should be in desperation mode at 2-3 ...Doesn't mean they'll win but oddsmakers appear to have this one right ( pregame ) ...McPherson over 1.5 FG would be my bet if I was allowed. Lol , as he had a rare under last week ...

Probably would have made this a mortgage wager in the preseason as my numbers then loved the Colts by close to 10 points....Maybe the extra time off will help the Colts offense find a pulse...Taylor should be back and provide the spark needed...Jaguars were a nice feel good story out of the gate,  but I think their ship has sailed ...That being said the Colts futures might be burned tickets with a loss here ..

For what it's worth Skylar Thompson looked very good in the preseason!!! Which means almost nothing ...I'd make this a pick em ( we rarely see those now a days ) . Tyrek Hill is practicing in full and could be the difference here..Vikings should be a little too full of themselves coming out of the gate 4-1 ..As a BILLS fan I'd like to see the fins lose , but Miami ML would probably be my bet ...

New Jersey is still getting no respect ..I don't think this line should be any higher than 4 ...Sure the Packers could win going away by double digits but why back them after their trip to London laying a TD to a red hot JETS squad that's playing good football ???

If this reaches +5 the ratings would suggest a play ...FALCONS will be wearing one of my favorite helmets ever on Sunday ( RED )..Atlanta got screwed by the game wardens who might be instructed to do everything they can to help Tom Shady .. .49ers are due to slip sooner or later , sure they stayed on the east coast but that's a long time to be away from home ...Pass but check back Sunday...

This might be the lowest I've rated the Steelers in 33+ years ...Home field might be at its lowest with the possible boo birds out if things go south early ...It appeared they gave up vs the BILLS last week...Was impressed with Pickett's ability to take a hit and keep firing the ball in tight windows vs Buffalo's zone scheme...

Eberflus made his first bad coaching decision of his young career. Could of kicked a fg on 4th n 1 from the 1 yard line in the 1H. Didn't convert.

Score "could" of been 12-10 Bears on that final drive where Justin Fields indeed marched em well into fg range.

Not gonna argue about analytics. But in a game like that with no one converting 3rd downs...c'mon. Told you this game was in the Bears wheelhouse.

The Thursday night schedule going forward doesn't get much better.

 It's evident that NO team is ever ready to play on Thursday. It's clearly not there for player safety but ratings. 

If it's that necessary, maybe try Friday night?

The best thing about last night's game was Kirk Herbstreit who is quite good as Al Michaels' sidekick. Did a great job of showing Bears receivers gaining separation and Fields not pulling the trigger. Summed it up perfectly by saying "Justin needs to learn that open in the NFL doesn't mean uncovered." 

5 weeks into the season and I'm still waiting for pre season quality football to end.

Yes, Thursday night football is all about ratings.

Friday night football will never be because too many people are doing other things, thus they lose ratings.

I've yet to watch a Thursday edition due to obvious reasons.

Goes by fast and you should watch it twice not just for the pretty girl but the content which is outstanding.

NFL doesn't touch Friday's because of High School Football.   Thankfully last night NCAAF was on.  

Is it wrong to touch High School cheerleaders on Fridays? I don't understand. 

Tournament day 1 starts today. It's cold and windy, and Lake Michigan can get dangers for small crafts.
