Busy week for me, so I couldn't cap, nor didn't even want to, the past 7 days. Sometimes it's just better to be a spectator.

I've officially fallen out of the Staley bandwagon. I think he's a smart dude in how he conceptualizes the game, but I just don't think he plays to the strengths of his personnel. He expects them to imiplement his game plan to a tee, when I'm not even sure they're buying in. He schemes up zone when he should be playing man; and vice versa. He'll whip up some masterful game plans (1H of against the London Jaguars in the divisional playoffs, and against Miami and SF last year). But those games no longer stand out in a sea of mediocrity. F**k, I wish we had just an average defense. We'd be 5-2 or 6-1 after this week. (JC Jackson single-handedly lose that game for the Chargers in Week 1, with 2 boneheaded plays.)

With the way Ficken came in from Minny and completely madeover a middling Special Teams the Chargers have had for years, he'd my preferred mid-season Staley replacement. 

As for this game, the refs are calling plays *against* the Bears pretty tightly. I'm sure you all saw the play called dead on that 45 yard reception in the 1st quarter. Tough break. May have changed the trajectory of the game. 

Other than that intercepti0on, Bagent has looked pretty good for his first game. Jones robbed Bagent of his first TD with that slip and bobble (while he was firmly planted on teh ground, no less lol).

The Chargers came prepared, the Bears weren't. 

Shitty game to watch.

Eckler is a game changing RB. Those are rare these days.

In hindsight, the line kind of said "Chargers".

As much as I like this Rangers team, and for BigD's sake of fandom, I think they are in for a tough series.

The dbacks are playing old school baseball. They steal, they bunt, they hit opposite field. Their defense is solid with 3 fast as fuck outfielders.

And they have a better bullpen. Don't forget that their pitching coach is Brent Strom.

I don't know how long Scherzer can hold up tomorrow. He always has that one inning that implodes on him.

I could see the series going 7 games though. Killer first 2 games so far.

Look at how the Bears ran the football, all while missing Khalil Herbert and Roshan Johnson. I think Tyler Bagent made quick and great reads, very accurate. But the kid didn't throw one deep ball. I'll take the Lions minus anything, at home, vs the shitty Raiders with Hoyer or the kid from Purdue. They were embarrassed. Dan Campbell rage game. They will name their score. And BigRed might learn a thing or 2 about situational betting when the Lions dominate, and the Ravens don't cover.

Amazing, I made no real $ bets and would of gone 5-0-1 on the closing lines, with Lions pending.

The mind is much clearer when there's no real stakes involved. 

I've been giving a few buddy's suggestions on the side the last few weeks and they've been killing it.

My one bud has been doing SGP's with odds boosts on my mlb and nfl tips. Dude is up over 3G's risking $25 on 3 team parlays the last couple weeks.

This is surprisingly a much better feeling than winning $ for myself, or showing a good record on a forum to strangers.
